33rd Session - Provincial People's Council, 11th term: Electing 2 members of the Provincial People's Committee, passing 10 important resolutions

On the morning of April 2, at the Conference Hall of the Provincial Border Guard Command, the 33rd session (special session) of the 11th term Binh Thuan Provincial People's Council took place. Comrades: Nguyen Hoai Anh - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Tieu Hong Phuc - Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Thi Thuan Bich - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council chaired the session.

Attending the meeting were comrade Dang Hong Sy - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; comrade Do Huu Huy - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee; relevant departments, branches and 42/46 delegates of the Provincial People's Council.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Hoai Anh emphasized: The 33rd meeting was held at a special time, when the province had active activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Binh Thuan Liberation Day, together with the whole country to celebrate the Day of complete liberation of the South and national reunification; International Labor Day and President Ho Chi Minh's birthday. At the same time, the province is urgently implementing the contents and tasks according to the conclusions of the Central Committee on implementing the arrangement of the political system's apparatus and merging administrative units. On the other hand, effectively implementing the tasks and solutions for socio-economic development, national defense and security, so as not to be interrupted in order to achieve the growth target according to the socio-economic, national defense and security plan of the Provincial Party Committee, the resolution of the Provincial People's Council, and the plan set forth by the Provincial People's Committee.

At this session, the Provincial People's Council carried out the organizational work within its authority to dismiss and elect additional members of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term. The purpose is to promptly complete the number, meeting the requirements of the tasks after the arrangement and streamlining of specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee. Accordingly, the Provincial People's Council voted by secret ballot, unanimously electing the position of member of the Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. Tran Huu Nhan - Commander of the Provincial Military Command; Mr. Cao Son Dung - Director of the Department of Agriculture and Environment.

Previously, the Provincial People's Council voted and unanimously dismissed from the position of Member of the Binh Thuan Provincial People's Committee, term 2021 - 2026 for 7 men and women including: Mr. Mai Kieu - former Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (retired); Mr. Nguyen Anh Nghia - former Commander of the Provincial Military Command (retired by the competent authority, awaiting retirement); Mr. Tran Nguyen Loc - former Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment; Mr. Phan Duong Cuong - former Director of the Department of Construction; Mr. Nguyen Quoc Viet - former Director of the Department of Science and Technology; Ms. Nguyen Thi Toan Thang - former Director of the Department of Education and Training; Mr. Nguyen Quoc Nam - former Director of the Department of Transport due to being assigned other work by the competent authority.

In addition to personnel work, the Provincial People's Council has considered and decided to pass 10 important resolutions related to the implementation of the province's socio-economic development tasks. These include resolutions on Regulations on the authority to decide on investment and procurement of information technology application activities using regular expenditure funds from the state budget under the province's management; Regulations on the level of support for the implementation of stable resettlement of residents in the form of concentrated or interspersed resettlement until 2030 in the province; Decisions on draft resolutions on Supplementing the budget revenue and expenditure estimates for 2025 (phase 1); Adjusting and supplementing land area in the project to renovate and upgrade National Highway 28B through Binh Thuan and Lam Dong provinces (in Binh Thuan province)...

One of the important contents is that agencies, organizations and individuals involved in investing and purchasing information technology application activities using regular expenditures from the state budget under the management of the province. In which, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee decides on investing and purchasing information technology application activities with a value of 1 billion VND or more/1 project or rental plan...

In his closing speech, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Hoai Anh requested that after this session, the Provincial People's Committee promptly implement the resolution passed by the Provincial People's Council. The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Committees and delegates of the Provincial People's Council shall supervise the implementation of the resolution according to regulations.
