They are stuck between two options: affordable social housing that is difficult to access and of limited quality, or commercial housing with full amenities but high prices, far beyond their ability to pay.

With a total income of 25 million VND/month, Ms. Nhu Ngoc (32 years old, financial employee) is also having difficulty finding housing in Binh Duong. She said that current social housing mostly only meets basic housing needs. Meanwhile, many families really need a space with enough amenities for their children to develop, and for the elderly to rest in peace. "If there is a quality social housing project with full amenities like commercial housing, we will definitely try to own it by all means," she said.
