At the 13th meeting, the Prime Minister assigned 42 tasks to ministries, branches and localities; focusing on removing difficulties and obstacles, speeding up site clearance progress, providing construction materials...

Up to now, the units have completed 11 tasks on time; are actively implementing 28 tasks of regular direction and management; 1 task has not yet reached the deadline and 2 tasks have not been completed on time.

With the strong direction of the Prime Minister at the 13th Steering Committee meeting, the site clearance work has been actively implemented by localities and has had significant changes. The supply of materials for projects in the Northern and Central regions basically meets the construction needs. For projects in the Southern region, localities have coordinated with investors and contractors to implement procedures related to granting mines for the projects.

Implementing the movement "500 days and nights of competition to complete 3,000 km of expressway", the Ministry of Transport has coordinated with the localities assigned as the managing agencies to review the implementation plan, develop detailed progress, especially the work of a "critical" nature to urge the units. Most of the projects have sufficient material sources and favorable site clearance conditions, the construction progress meets the requirements; some component projects are striving to complete 3-6 months early.

Besides the achievements, there are still some difficulties and problems such as: site clearance work has not met the required progress; construction materials in the Western provinces do not have enough reserves...

Concluding the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that one of the goals set by the 13th National Party Congress is that by 2025 the country will have 3,000 km of expressways and by 2030 the country will have 5,000 km of expressways.

Therefore, ministries, branches and localities are required to focus on fulfilling their responsibilities in implementing important national projects and key works in the transport sector, mobilizing the entire political system to speed up progress and completely complete site clearance work.

In Quang Tri, site clearance for the Van Ninh – Cam Lo expressway project is considered a top priority. Up to now, compensation and support payments for site clearance have been basically completed and the entire cleared site has been handed over to the investor.

The Prime Minister emphasized that we must overcome weather conditions, take advantage of them, and work as quickly as possible to complete tasks and ensure the set goals, "only discuss action, no retreat", all for the benefit of the nation, the people, and the people.

Ministries, sectors and localities are requested to continue to coordinate and focus on promoting projects to ensure progress and quality. From now until the end of the year, we must accelerate and make breakthroughs, striving to complete the proposed 3,000 km of expressways by 2025.
