Rice prices today, September 22, in the Mekong Delta region, both rice and paddy prices remained unchanged. Market trading was slow.
Update from the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of An Giang province said that today's rice price has not been adjusted compared to yesterday, IR 50404 is priced at 7,300 - 7,500 VND/kg; Dai Thom 8 rice is priced at 8,000 - 8,200 VND/kg, OM 5451 rice is priced at 7,600 - 7,900 VND/kg; OM 18 rice is priced at 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg; OM 380 fluctuates at 7,600 - 7,800 VND/kg; Japanese rice is at 7,800 - 8,000 VND/kg and Nang Nhen rice (dry) is at 20,000 VND/kg.
Besides, the glutinous rice market has not adjusted compared to yesterday. Long An IR 4625 glutinous rice (dry) 9,700 - 9,900 VND/kg remained unchanged compared to yesterday. Long An 3-month glutinous rice (dry) 9,800 - 10,000 VND/kg remained unchanged compared to yesterday.
Regarding rice, the price of raw IR 504 Summer-Autumn rice is at 10,650 - 10,750 VND/kg. Meanwhile, the price of finished IR 504 rice is around 13,000 - 13,200 VND/kg.
Over the past week, rice prices in the Mekong Delta provinces have been continuously adjusted up and down in opposite directions. Of these, the strongest increase and decrease was in rice with an increase and decrease of 100 - 200 VND. Similarly, raw rice and finished rice prices also increased by 200 - 350 VND/kg, while rice prices decreased the most by 400 - 450 VND/kg. The trading market is stable.

For by-products, the price of by-products of all kinds fluctuates between 5,750 - 8,600 VND/kg. Currently, the price of OM 5451 broken rice is at 8,500 - 8,600 VND/kg; the price of dry bran is at 5,750 - 5,850 VND/kg.
At retail markets, rice prices have not been adjusted for individual rice products. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg; Jasmine rice is VND18,000 - 20,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice is VND20,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates around VND15,000 - 16,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice is VND20,000 - 21,000/kg; Huong Jasmine rice is VND18,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice is VND21,000/kg; common white rice is VND17,000/kg; Soc regular rice is VND18,000 - 18,500/kg; Soc Thai rice is VND21,000/kg; Japanese rice is VND22,000/kg.
In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices are high. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), 100% broken rice is at $455/ton; 5% standard rice is at $567/ton; and 25% broken rice is at $537/ton.

India’s 5% broken parboiled variety was quoted at $528-$534 a tonne this week, unchanged from its lowest since mid-January 2024 hit last week as buyers delayed purchases from top exporter India.
