New CEO of PNE Group works with Binh Dinh province on offshore wind power project

PNE Group CEO hopes that necessary legal procedures and electricity prices will be issued soon to implement offshore wind power projects.

CEO of PNE Group sent an invitation letter to the leaders of Binh Dinh province to visit the group in Cuxhaven City, Germany.

Mr. Heiko Wuttke, new Chairman (CEO) of PNE Group - Germany, recently had a working session with leaders of Binh Dinh province to promote the implementation of offshore wind power projects.

At the meeting, the Chairman of PNE Group said that on the morning of March 5, the PNE Group delegation worked with the leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade on the implementation of the project in Binh Dinh. The results of the meeting were very positive.

Mr. Heiko Wuttke expressed his belief that the project implementation in the coming period will not face any major obstacles and said that the project implementation progress depends entirely on the determined efforts between the Group and Binh Dinh province.

The new Chairman of PNE Group affirmed that the Group has made efforts to pursue the Hon Trau project over the past 6 years, which demonstrates a high determination to implement the project in reality.

Currently, PNE Group hopes that the necessary legal procedures and electricity prices will be issued soon to implement the project.

Speaking at the meeting, Binh Dinh Provincial Party Secretary Ho Quoc Dung said that the new Chairman of PNE Group's first visit and work with provincial leaders demonstrated the Group's special interest in and determination to implement the Hon Trau Offshore Wind Power Project in Binh Dinh.

The Secretary of Binh Dinh Provincial Party Committee once again affirmed that Binh Dinh is committed to always accompanying, giving absolute priority, and creating the best conditions for the Group to implement the project. This is a key priority project of Binh Dinh province.

At the meeting, Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Chairman of Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee, said that so far, the biggest obstacle regarding national security has been overcome and the adjusted Power Plan VIII is about to be approved. Along with that, Binh Dinh has sent a document to the Government regarding the feasibility of the project.

The Chairman of Binh Dinh Province sent an invitation letter to PNE Group to attend the Binh Dinh Province Investment Promotion Conference 2025 held at the end of March 2025.

The Chairman of Binh Dinh Province suggested that, in order for the project to be implemented soon, PNE Group should send a working group to Vietnam to coordinate with the locality and the Government to implement the next related steps. At the same time, PNE Group should soon calculate and arrange capital sources to ensure the implementation of the project.

In addition, the Chairman of Binh Dinh province also emphasized that in the implementation process, there are inevitably difficulties and obstacles; therefore, he hopes that the two sides will strengthen cooperation and focus on resolving them.

The Chairman of Binh Dinh Province also sent an invitation to the new Chairman of PNE Group to attend the Binh Dinh Province Investment Promotion Conference 2025 (held on March 28). According to Mr. Tuan, the legal procedures have been completed, and at this Conference, the project investment certificate will be awarded to PNE Group.

Previously, on October 22, 2024, Mr. Per Hornung Pedersen, Chairman and CEO of PNE Group, also visited the planning site for the Hon Trau Offshore Wind Power Project and worked with leaders of Binh Dinh province.

It is known that Mr. Heiko Wuttke will assume the role of CEO of PNE Group from January 13, 2025. Mr. Per Hornung Pedersen will assume the role of CEO of PNE Group from August 2024 to January 13, 2025, and then be a member of the Board of Directors.

On October 30, 2024, PNE Group held the opening ceremony of PNE Group Office at ACB Building, No. 173, Le Hong Phong Street, Quy Nhon City, Binh Dinh Province.
In January 2025, Binh Dinh Provincial People's Committee approved the PNE Hon Trau 1 Development Project for PNE OFFSHORE VIETNAM EINS GMBH (Germany) to invest on Le Hong Phong Street, Quy Nhon City with a total investment of 2.7 billion VND (Project implementation consulting representative office).
