At the end of 2020, the construction of DT.719 and DT.719B routes began with a length of about 58.064 km, including the Phan Thiet - Ke Ga section of DT.719B route with a length of 25.606 km. The Ke Ga - Tan Thien section of DT.719 route with a length of 32.458 km is currently in operation.
Hon Lan - Tan Hai road is 10.5 km long, starting from the existing Hon Lan road, in Tan Thanh commune, Ham Thuan Nam district, ending at the intersection of DT.719 road at km45+540, in Tan Hai commune, La Gi town under construction. Besides, there is Ham Kiem - Tien Thanh route with a length of about 7.7 km, roadbed width of 37 m, road surface width of 16 m, median strip, sidewalk on each side of 6 m (2 routes are preparing for construction). These are 4 routes "opening the way" for the new land, the triangle area of La Gi - Ham Thuan Nam - Tien Thanh (Phan Thiet) to develop tourism. These routes create a system for small tourist spots to develop in a satellite style, so the land fund on both sides of DT.719, DT.719B and Ham Kiem - Tien Thanh is attracting domestic and foreign investors.
Recently, the Tan Minh - Son My (Ham Tan) route was started, and people were very excited. Mr. Tran Minh Hieu in Tan Minh town said: "The Tan Minh - Son My route is extremely important to the people of Ham Tan, because this is the route connecting the highway - National Highway 1 - National Highway 55 and Son My industrial parks. From here, when the industrial parks come into operation, it will be convenient for children in the area to go to work in the industrial parks easily, goods from Son My industrial parks will be transported to the highway more closely, creating economic momentum in the development area...
Meanwhile, in Duc Linh district, the Me Pu - Da Kai asphalt road has just been put into operation, making it more convenient for people to travel. This is the main road in the southwestern region of the province, acting as a traffic bridge from Tanh Linh and Duc Linh districts to National Highway 20 to Dong Nai and Lam Dong and the Central Highlands provinces. Mr. Dang Ngoc in Sung Nhon commune, where the road passes through, confided: “Previously, the damaged road made the people in the area suffer a lot, agricultural products were sold at lower prices than the market because the road was bad, so transportation costs increased, farmers had to suffer. From the end of 2024, the road will be basically completed, creating inter-regional and inter-provincial traffic, so goods in the area can be transported to Dong Nai, Lam Dong and the Central Highlands provinces very conveniently...
Downstream to Bac Binh, the Song Luy - Phan Tien route under construction and nearing completion also brings joy to the people in the area. Song Luy - Phan Tien is a vital traffic route passing through the key area with strengths in industrial crop production and processing of Bac Binh district. Therefore, in the near future, Bac Binh will have more advantages to attract investors to the district, especially in the post-harvest processing of agricultural products...
