Using Deepfake to Create Celebrity Videos on TikTok

Not pornographic or fraudulent, but celebrities have recently been "attached" to a new trend when their images appear in educational videos on the social network TikTok. These include singer Taylor Swift, rapper Drake, Ice Spice, media personality Kim Kardashian, billionaire Elon Musk, and even the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Accordingly, some TikTok accounts used AI (artificial intelligence) and Deepfake tools to create videos of celebrities "going online" to analyze knowledge of mathematics, physics, engineering... for students. These videos quickly received tens of millions of views as well as countless comments.

Unlike the fake images used in porn or scams, below the educational videos, the content creators always note that the characters appearing are created by AI, and at the same time, declare related disclaimers.

"This is not Drake's real voice or video. All images and speech are computer generated to help viewers learn about math, physics, engineering," the caption of one video clearly states.

This action is supported by the majority of viewers, who believe that acquiring knowledge is easier and the content is more concise when it only takes a few minutes to grasp the problem, while normally, it takes lecturers 1-2 class periods to convey.

However, the use of celebrity images to "teach" on social networks such as TikTok or any other platform also raises concerns. Psychologists say there is no guarantee that the knowledge presented in the videos is accurate, while children are at risk of completely trusting or developing relationships with characters created by artificial intelligence.
