During the 2-month training period, 50 officers and professional soldiers of Division 9, Corps 4 were equipped with basic knowledge of the Khmer language. In particular, the focus was on practicing speaking and writing skills in Khmer. The training content was undertaken by the Victory Foreign Language - Information Technology Center, Tra Vinh University. At the end of the training course, the trainees will be able to communicate with the Khmer people in Khmer and have the necessary understanding of the culture and customs of the Khmer people to serve well the work of mass mobilization, as well as to carry out tasks in areas where the Khmer people live.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the training course, Colonel Pham Van Hong, Deputy Political Commissar of Division 9, Corps 4, requested the Party Committees and commanders of agencies and units to focus on leadership, direction and create the best conditions for the team of officers and professional soldiers of the unit to participate in quality and effective training. Trainees must uphold their responsibility, organize their studies seriously, actively, boldly exchange and practice closely in each agency and unit to improve their understanding, speaking and writing skills in Khmer, meeting the requirements and tasks in the coming time.
