Exciting folk dance festival

On the evening of July 28, the Vietnam Dance Association in Thanh Hoa organized the first Folk Dance Festival - 2024. Attending the festival were People's Artist Pham Anh Phuong, President of the Vietnam Dance Artists Association, and representatives of leaders of a number of provincial departments and agencies.

The festival was attended by the Lam Son Dance and Drama Theater Dance Troupe; 5 Thanh Hoa City folk dance clubs; the Thanh Hoa City Children's Cultural House dance troupe; the border folk dance club (Muong Lat district), each team has 10-15 artists and actors participating; the border folk dance club alone has 25 artists and actors participating.

Speaking at the Festival, People's Artist, musician, choreographer Hoang Hai said: With the desire to create a "playground" for those who love folk songs and folk dances in the province; at the same time, bringing the unique value of folk dances to the stage to become works of art worthy of its stature, the Vietnam Dance Association in Thanh Hoa has conducted a survey of the folk dance movement in the province. At the same time, it has organized and linked folk dance clubs, invested in staging folk dance performances into works of art.

The first folk dance festival - 2024 is held to celebrate the anniversary of the traditional day of Vietnamese dance art. At the same time, it contributes to improving the cultural life at the grassroots level in the renovation process; preserving and developing local folk dance art, serving political tasks, serving the people.

The festival brings to the audience many unique folk dance performances that are elaborately staged, diverse in content and form, of high artistic quality, expressing the cultural beauty and image of Thanh people in particular and the homeland and country in general. Among them, the most outstanding works are: May Salad, Lantern Season - Ma River Dawn - Fairy Dance, Countryside Love, Vietnamese Fragrance, Lotus Offering to Uncle Ho - Ho Mong Spring...
