This afternoon, January 19, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment (DONRE) held a conference to review the work in 2023 and deploy tasks in 2024. Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung; Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong attended the conference.

In 2023, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment has implemented many solutions, completed the contents and tasks committed to the Provincial Party Committee and the direction of the Provincial People's Committee.

With the function and task of advising on state management of natural resources and environment, the department has focused on land allocation, land lease, and issuance of land use right certificates. Actively implementing the creation of clean land funds to meet the land use needs of enterprises.

Advise on the effective implementation of mineral and water resource licensing. Strengthen inspection, examination, timely detection and handling of many cases. Perform effective public reception and complaint and denunciation settlement.

The Department of Natural Resources and Environment has also focused on promoting administrative reform, focusing on consulting, developing and submitting to the Provincial People's Committee to issue administrative procedures in the field of Natural Resources and Environment. In 2023, the department received 44,407 dossiers, with a 98.8% on-time settlement rate; performed well in publicizing administrative procedures; posted the set of administrative procedures under its authority on the department's electronic information page.

To effectively perform the assigned functions and tasks in 2024, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment has set out 7 key tasks to be implemented. In particular, it will continue to focus on directing and implementing the enforcement of laws in the field of Natural Resources and Environment. Strictly handle violations of the law and wasteful use of resources.

Promote the application of information technology in management and provision of online public services, ensuring shortening of processing procedures; simplifying and standardizing the content of documents, reducing time and costs for administrative procedures. Strengthen administrative reform, creating favorable conditions for investment, production and business activities of people and enterprises.

Continue to implement solutions to improve the ranking of task completion and administrative reform index of the department, identifying this as a key task in direction and operation. Enhance the sense of responsibility, discipline and public ethics of cadres, civil servants and public employees.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ha Sy Dong emphasized: The Department of Natural Resources and Environment plays an important role and position in the socio-economic development of the province. Therefore, in the coming time, the Department needs to continue to strengthen the work of advising on state management of land, minerals, and environment; overcome limitations and obstacles; and strengthen administrative reform.

Request the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to review the sector's targets, especially those that are difficult to achieve, to find effective solutions. Focus on overcoming bottlenecks in land records management; planning, appraisal, and consulting on auctioning of land fill for projects and works in the province.

Organize inspections, reviews, seriously considers and handles organizations and individuals who violate the law; officials and civil servants who shirk responsibility. Continue to implement solutions to improve the ranking of task completion and administrative reform index of the department.

On this occasion, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment awarded certificates of merit to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment; the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 3 collectives, 3 individuals and the title of Excellent Labor Collective to 7 collectives with outstanding achievements in 2023.
