The Hanoi Department of Education and Training said that after receiving information about the incident, the unit sent an inspection team to urgently work with relevant parties to find a solution in the spirit of ensuring the rights of students.
The plan being considered is to transfer all 10th grade students from To Hien Thanh High School to Van Lang High School (Dong Da District). To ensure the learning conditions of students at the transferred school, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training also requested to check and review the 10th grade admission conditions of Van Lang High School.
Previously, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training requested To Hien Thanh High School to organize a meeting between the parties, including the school, the Board of Supervisors, 174 parents, and Van Lang High School to agree on a handling plan that ensures the consensus of 100% of parents. The Department requested that the school apologize to parents for the violations in the 10th grade enrollment process without the permission of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training.
For parents who wish to transfer to another school, the school must provide guidance and create conditions for students to transfer according to regulations, and absolutely not force parents.
The Hanoi Department of Education and Training also requested that the current tuition fees of To Hien Thanh High School and the expected tuition fees for the next two years of Van Lang High School be fully announced to parents. In case other fees (other than tuition fees) have been collected, To Hien Thanh High School must refund them to parents.
Regarding violations in the enrollment work of To Hien Thanh High School, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training is continuing to review and handle.
