This is one of the practical activities to spread Vietnamese culinary culture among the Korean student community, as well as enhance understanding and interest in the cultural beauty between the two countries.
Prof. Dr. Bae Yang Soo, head of the Vietnamese language department at Busan University of Foreign Studies (South Korea), said that Korean students studying Vietnamese at the school have actively participated and written very positive articles about Vietnamese culinary culture in general and pho in particular.
Through this activity, Prof. Dr. Bae Yang Soo hopes that cuisine will be a cultural bridge to bring the two nations closer together, while contributing to promoting economic cooperation and bilateral investment between Vietnam and Korea.
In addition to Vietnamese language students, a number of Korean students majoring in Vietnamese studies and Vietnamese language at two other universities in Busan also participated in activities within the framework of Vietnam Pho Festival 2024.
This activity attracted the attention of both students and lecturers, creating an opportunity for everyone to better understand the diplomatic relationship between the two countries, share and exchange more about culture, customs, and the unique culinary beauty of Vietnam.
The school deployed and disseminated information about the event not only on campus, but also through school networks.
In addition, students were encouraged to attend the Vietnam Pho Festival in Seoul on October 5 and 6, thereby helping to spread Vietnamese culinary culture to more young Koreans.

Busan University of Foreign Studies has made preparations, provided information about the event, and completed the list of participating students.
"Through this activity, the Vietnamese department of Busan University hopes that the event will contribute to fostering and strengthening the good relationship between Vietnam and Korea, while also conveying the love of Vietnamese cuisine to international friends," said Mr. Bae Yang Soo.
