Statue of Emperor Van Xuong in Ngoc Son Temple
After research, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has agreed to restore the statue of Van Xuong De Quan at the special national relic Quan Thanh Temple, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi City, following the model of the statue of Van Xuong De Quan currently worshiped at Ngoc Son Temple, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi City.
Regarding the location of the statue, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism proposed studying the actual terrain to restore a separate structure behind the place of worship of Huyen Thien Tran Vu to ensure respect for history.
Quan Thanh Temple, whose Chinese name is Tran Vu Quan, dates back to the reign of Ly Thai To (1010 - 1028), worshiping Huyen Thien Tran Vu, one of the four gods whose temples were built to guard the four gates of Thang Long citadel in the past (Thang Long Tu Tran). This place was also one of the four major Taoist temples in Thang Long. The temple was built in the early Ly Dynasty. It underwent many renovations in the years 1618, 1677, 1768, 1836, 1843, 1893, 1941 (these renovations are recorded on the stele).
