Ha Tinh students strive to pave the way for integration

Promoting the historical, cultural and people traditions of their homeland, many Ha Tinh students have constantly strived to explore and be creative in their studies and research to open their own paths, integrate with the general trend, and contribute values ​​to the community and society.

At the recent 2023 Ha Tinh Province Innovation and Startup Competition, there was only one project by a group of student authors that won a prize. That project was the "Local Guide - Local Tour Guide" project by a group of students from Ha Tinh University, which won the final consolation prize. This was also the only project purely in the field of tourism development to win a prize at the competition.

The project “Local Guide - Local Tour Guide” aims to build a business model of training and supplying local tour guides for groups of tourists visiting and exploring community tourism destinations in the localities. In particular, training workers in localities with potential destinations for community tourism development to become people with knowledge and skills to work as local tour guides. At the same time, through the management of the model's parent company, these collaborators will become tour guides who are coordinated to serve groups of tourists when requested.

The project was built by 5 students (Ha Tinh University) including: Nguyen Van Long, Le Thi Chi, Le Tran Thuy Ha, Nguyen Thi Thuy and Nguyen Thi Thuy May, and is considered a new, practical and suitable idea in the development of community tourism, agricultural and rural tourism today.

Student Nguyen Van Long - Project Team Leader said: “The members of the group all have a passion for tourism, especially love introducing and promoting destinations in their hometown. After experiences, especially the times of learning and visiting the community tourism model in Phu Lam village (Phu Gia commune, Huong Khe) and some other destinations, we all realized that destinations in Ha Tinh have a lot of potential but have not been exploited and developed. In particular, the weakness is that there is no team of tour guides to support tourist groups to explore, the group came up with the idea of ​​a network of local tour guide collaborators who can overcome the above limitations in the current context. From the idea that received the agreement of the members, through the training course "Startup, innovation" organized by Ha Tinh University, we discussed and built it into a project and participated in the Ha Tinh Province Innovation and Startup Competition in 2023".

What is special is that 3/5 members of the project “Local Guide - Local tour guide” are all from Phu Lam village. They are Le Thi Chi, Nguyen Thi Thuy and Nguyen Thi Thuy May, all 3 are passionate about developing community tourism in their hometown through the model.

Mr. Bien Van Quyen - Deputy Head of the Faculty of Pedagogy, in charge of the training course "Students starting up innovative businesses" (Ha Tinh University) said: "In addition to realizing that this is a practical project with high feasibility, serving well the policy of promoting the development of community tourism models, agricultural and rural tourism that the province is implementing, we highly appreciate the initiative, efforts and creativity of the students. They are confident, dynamic students, dare to think, dare to do and especially have the awareness to explore and find their own business direction, aiming to bring values ​​to themselves and serve the common development of their homeland and the community in general".

The first days of 2024 are also a busy time for members of the Evenious project - the first social network dedicated to events in Vietnam. This is an application that connects young people with thousands of interesting events and practical activities on the Internet platform. It is known that the Evenious project was founded by Pham Xuan Thanh - a former student of Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted, currently a student of Foreign Trade University and a group of 4 students all from Ha Tinh including: Dang Nguyen Bao Tran (Foreign Trade University); Nguyen Hoang Anh, Nguyen Trinh Khang, Nguyen Anh Bao (Hanoi University of Science and Technology).

Pham Xuan Thanh - CEO and founder of Evenious said: “After successfully building the project, calling for investment and winning the second prize at the I - Startup Competition organized by the Investment Association (National Economics University) in May 2023, we launched the Evenious application on 2 platforms App Store and CH Play in October 2023. Up to now, the Evenious application has received positive responses from the online community, especially young people. Currently, the members of the group are actively upgrading the application, promoting it, inviting business partners, actively attracting users... so that Evenious becomes more and more popular as a social network dedicated to events in Vietnam, loved by many people".

Pham Xuan Thanh - Former student of Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted, currently a student at Foreign Trade University, is the leader of Evenious.

With the main slogan of bringing the world closer together, Evenious wants to connect real-life interactions between people who share the same interests, beliefs and passions, so that they can build a community together, where everyone can integrate and develop together. Currently, users who install the Evenious application or visit the Evenious.com website can learn about and connect with many cultural events that are taking place and are about to take place such as: festivals, cuisine, art, music, cinema, competitions... with full information such as event content, time, venue, ticket price or free...

Ms. Bui Thi Tinh (23 years old, Hanoi) said: “Cultural, artistic and entertainment events... always attract young people, but in the past, finding information and booking places to participate was quite difficult for us. After the Evenious application was launched, everything became easier. My friends and I living in Hanoi and other big cities really like to use this application. Just register an account like other social networks, Evenious will let you know about many events that are happening and are about to happen where you live, helping people not to miss out on the activities they love.”

Talking about the inspiration for founding Evenious, Pham Xuan Thanh shared: “I am always proud of my hometown's traditions, the cultural identity, the people of Ha Tinh with their diligence, hard work, and constant striving in studying and working that all members of the group always strive for, despite many difficulties, they do not give up to successfully build the project. Most of the group members are former students of Ha Tinh High School for the Gifted. What I am most proud of up to now is that since high school, we have always been taught by teachers to combine learning with practice, to apply theory to create meaningful and valuable products and results to serve the development of the community. And Evenious is a product that my friends and I want to aim for, especially in the context of digital technology developing strongly like today".

The story of the efforts to realize the passion and aspiration with their own paths of the group of students from Ha Tinh University on tourism development and Pham Xuan Thanh and students from Ha Tinh with the Evenious project - a social network connecting events for young people are 2 of many ideas and projects that students from Ha Tinh have been and are working hard to implement across the country. That affirms that promoting the historical and cultural traditions and people of the homeland of Hong Mountain - La River with diligence and creativity, students from Ha Tinh, no matter where they live and study, always strive to integrate, constantly create new values ​​to serve the community, become the pride of their homeland, confidently step out into the world with the mindset of global citizens in the context of integration.
