"Perhaps like everyone else here, this movie is really special to me. No other movie has ever urged me so strongly, despite all the difficulties, which at times seemed insurmountable.

I feel the energy of the heroes and martyrs who fell for Vietnam's independence and freedom giving me strength.

I feel that after 50 years, the day of peace and national reunification is really creating good things in the lives of all Vietnamese people today, including me.

I also feel the burning desire of all of us here when making this film together, to make it worthy to commemorate the heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the Fatherland, as well as to let future generations better understand why April 30, 1975 was truly a blessed day for all of us."

The film was cherished for 10 years
