Preparations for the 300th anniversary of the birth of La Son Phu Tu Nguyen Thiep (1723 - 2023) are being carried out by all levels and sectors in Ha Tinh, ready for the event to take place successfully.

The activities to celebrate the 300th anniversary of La Son Phu Tu Nguyen Thiep's birth include two main contents: The national scientific conference "La Son Phu Tu Nguyen Thiep in the flow of Vietnamese history and culture", scheduled to take place on the morning of October 21, 2023 and the 300th anniversary of La Son Phu Tu Nguyen Thiep's birth (1723 - 2023) at 8:00 p.m. the same day at the Cultural - Cinema Center of Ha Tinh province.
As the host and coordinating unit with units and localities to prepare for the event's activities, up to this point, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh has directed specialized departments and affiliated units to urgently complete many tasks.
Mr. Tran Xuan Luong - Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ha Tinh said: "In addition to directing the Department of Culture - Information, the Center of Culture - Communication of districts, cities and towns to actively promote, we have also directed the departments, offices and units under the Department to implement the content and programs for the event. Specifically, the Department of Heritage Management coordinates with the Institute of History, the Academy of Social Sciences to prepare the content and guests for the seminar; the Provincial Center of Culture - Cinema prepares logistics such as: sound system, lighting, ceremony layout, decoration of panels and posters at the venue of the celebration; the Provincial Traditional Arts Theater (NTTT) builds and practices the art program for the celebration...".
Journal of Historical Research No. 6 (566)/2023 published many articles serving the National Scientific Conference "La Son Phu Tu Nguyen Thiep - Life and Career".
In preparation for the national scientific conference “La Son Phu Tu Nguyen Thiep in the flow of Vietnamese history and culture”, the Department of Heritage Management (Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism) has recently invited leading social science researchers to write papers for the conference. Up to now, the Organizing Committee has received nearly 60 papers from researchers across the country and is editing and printing conference documents; at the same time, selecting a number of articles about La Son Phu Tu Nguyen Thiep to print in the Journal of Historical Research to serve the conference.
One of the highlights of the event is the art program celebrating the 300th anniversary of the birth of La Son Phu Tu Nguyen Thiep. Up to this point, after completing the script, Ha Tinh NTTT Theater is actively practicing, preparing the best for the performance.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Cam - Director of Ha Tinh Traditional Arts Theater said: "The program has been rehearsing for more than a month now. The artists and actors have basically mastered their performances. In the near future, we will conduct a general rehearsal and test run of the program to perform at our best in the official performance of the anniversary celebration."

The Art Program celebrating the 300th anniversary of the birth of La Son Phu Tu Nguyen Thiep with the theme "La Son Phu Tu Nguyen Thiep: A name that is not in vain" (duration 50 minutes), directed by Meritorious Artist An Ninh, music: musician Quoc Dung, is a combination of excerpts from epic folk plays, folk song suites and songs about the homeland of Can Loc, the homeland of Ha Tinh. In which, the focus is on praising the land of talented people that gave birth to the wise; praising the virtue, talent and dedication, the great contributions of La Son Phu Tu Nguyen Thiep to the Tay Son Dynasty in particular and the nation in general.
The script consists of 5 acts: about the land of talented people (folk song suite Vi, Giam); the mountain scholar Bui Phong "King Quang Trung seeks the wise" (opera); Tay Son steps of heroes (song); reputation is worthy of its reputation (opera); Ha Tinh land of phoenixes (song). In addition to the artists and actors of Ha Tinh NTTT Theater, the program also has the participation of famous singers such as: Dang Thuat, Thanh Quy, Luong Nguyet Anh...
According to the plan, the Provincial Cultural - Cinema Center will be the venue for the 300th Anniversary of the Birth of La Son Phu Tu Nguyen Thiep on the evening of October 21. Currently, the logistical work has also been implemented by this unit.

As one of the media units for the event, in the past time, Ha Tinh Newspaper has also built a plan and produced many news and articles, contributing to spreading the life, career and great contributions of La Son Phu Tu Nguyen Thiep to his homeland and country to readers near and far.
Although no activities of the celebration took place in Can Loc district, the local government and people as well as the Nguyen Thiep family actively carried out many sideline tasks, towards the event.
