(NLDO) - Only at special places like Khanh Son Pass (Khanh Hoa province), can tourists "hunt clouds" with a sea of clouds drifting, covering the town in the early morning.
Khanh Son is a mountainous district in the southwest of Khanh Hoa province, 100 km from Nha Trang city and 40 km from Cam Ranh city. To reach Khanh Son, visitors must go from Cam Ranh and cross a pass. The top of the pass is in Ba Cum Bac commune, on the other side is To Hap valley.
It is this special terrain that makes Khanh Son Pass a "hot" spot in Khanh Hoa for "cloud hunting". Although Khanh Son has an average altitude of only 400-800 m above sea level, with the pass peak approximately 600 m, visitors can witness the wonders of nature: The clouds "caressing" and hovering close to To Hap town.

To "hunt clouds" at the top of Khanh Son Pass, from 5:30 am, when the sky was still dark and cold, the group of tourists woke up. The whole To Hap valley was immersed in fog, clouds gently drifting through the forest canopy. From To Hap town, the group of tourists drove about 20 minutes to reach the top of Khanh Son Pass.
Mr. Quoc Toan (a tourist from Nha Trang City) surveyed the location to "hunt clouds" and chose the most beautiful place from the top of the pass down about 50m.
Placing a small chair, the group of tourists opened a thermos to sip hot tea in the early morning and watched the layers of clouds drifting down to form a sea of clouds covering To Hap.
According to locals, you can see clouds all year round in Khanh Son. The best time to visit is from 5:45 am to around 7 am (depending on the day). Each season has its own beauty. To have a complete experience, visitors should check the weather before going out to avoid rainy days.
To Hap is much lower than the top of the pass, so in the early morning, the whole valley creates a misty, romantic scene.
At around 6:30, the sun's rays appeared, creating a layering of clouds. The mountains appeared more clearly, while the white clouds shrank back, making the town of Suhe even more magical.
The scenery of To Hap is picturesque with villages, red tiled roofs looming among the floating sea of clouds, next to winding roads under green forest canopies and neat, straight durian hills.
Because of that airy, "fairyland" look, recently, many tourists have not hesitated to travel long distances, crossing mountain passes to come to the Khanh Son highlands to hunt for clouds in the early morning.
