On July 6, 2024, at Co.opmart Xa Lo Ha Noi (District 9, Thu Duc City), Ho Chi Minh City Union of Trading Cooperatives (Saigon Co.op) organized the opening event of the program "Accompanying OCOP - honoring Vietnamese agricultural products". The program is part of a series of activities to celebrate the International Day of Cooperatives and at the same time practically celebrate the 35th anniversary of the establishment of Saigon Co.op - Star of Vietnamese Cooperatives.
The program "Accompanying OCOP - honoring Vietnamese agricultural products" takes place at all 800 points of sale of Saigon Co.op including Co.opmart, Co.opXtra, Co.op Food, Finelife from July 4-17 with activities: displaying, promoting, stimulating demand, trying products... This year is also the first year that Saigon Co.op brings OCOP products online on the shopping website www.cooponline.vn through which customers can admire and shop for local products of the country.
Currently, Co.opmart, Co.opXtra, Co.op Food... trade more than 500 OCOP products including items from cooperatives nationwide such as Ho Chi Minh City, Dong Nai, Tay Ninh, Dong Thap, Lam Dong, Dak Nong, Phu Quoc - Kien Giang, Thanh Hoa, Hanoi, Thai Nguyen... Diverse items, typical of regions, with geographical indications such as Phu Quoc fish sauce, Tay Ninh rice paper, Can Gio pineapple fish, Khanh Hoa bird's nest, Dak Lak avocado, tomatoes - carrots - potatoes - bell peppers - Dalat lettuce, longan, durian, rambutan, various green vegetables... The rapid growth of OCOP products in terms of variety in the Co.opmart, Co.opXtra, Co.op Food system... is the realization of the process of connecting trade between Saigon Co.op and key economic regions across the country.
OCOP products sold at Co.opmart, Co.opXtra, Co.op Food… meet 3-star and 4-star standards, ensuring product quality. Some OCOP products are selected and developed into private label products under the Co.op brand.
Co.opmart and Co.opXtra support and prioritize the most prime locations in the supermarket for OCOP products, with signboards, attractive promotions... to create conditions for OCOP products to easily reach consumers.

In addition, Saigon Co.op organized many exciting activities throughout the system to celebrate International Cooperative Day 6/7, including a voluntary blood donation program to carry out the noble motto "One for each person - Each person for one".
