Sa Pa, Cat Ba are the most searched destinations in early 2025

Based on accommodation searches on the platform in January 2025, Agoda has just announced a list of the most searched small towns by travelers in early 2025.

Leading the way are Sa Pa and Cat Ba, followed by Con Dao (Ba Ria - Vung Tau), Tam Dao (Vinh Phuc), Phong Nha (Quang Binh) and Mai Chau (Hoa Binh).

Among them, Sa Pa (Lao Cai) is famous for its charming natural scenery, with Hoang Lien Son mountain range towering among the clouds.

Sa Pa attracts tourists with its cool climate, especially in spring this town is a great destination for cloud hunters, experiencing the culture of indigenous peoples.

At the beginning of the year, Cat Ba archipelago is a favorite destination for international tourists because of the beautiful scenery of more than 360 large and small islands rising above the blue sea, of which Cat Ba is the central island.

Coming to Cat Ba, visitors can explore famous tourist attractions such as Lan Ha Bay, Cat Ba National Park, Trung Trang Cave, Quan Y Cave, experience kayaking, scuba diving, visit Cai Beo fishing village...

In September 2024, Cat Ba was one of the places heavily affected by typhoon Yagi. The locality has made constant efforts to restore tourism and is ready to welcome visitors.

In the first two months of 2025, Cat Ba (Hai Phong) welcomed more than 280,000 tourists, of which international visitors accounted for nearly 180,000. Total revenue from tourism services is estimated at 257 billion VND.

This summer, Cat Ba is expected to continue to become a "hot" name during the beach tourism season in the North with an artificial beach right in the center of Cat Ba town.
