According to TechSpot , Sony is preparing to launch an upgraded version of the PlayStation 5 game console, called the PlayStation 5 Pro (PS5 Pro). According to the latest leaked information from a source close to Sony, the PS5 Pro will have many improvements in performance, graphics and features, promising to bring users the ultimate gaming experience.
The main highlight of the PS5 Pro is its powerful GPU. Compared to the standard PS5 console, the PS5 Pro's GPU has 45% higher display performance, up to 4 times faster ray tracing speed, and is equipped with a new image upscaling solution called PSSR (PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution). Thanks to these improvements, the PS5 Pro can deliver sharper, smoother images, especially in games that use ray tracing technology.
In addition to the GPU, the PS5 Pro also has a number of other hardware upgrades. The CPU will have a new 'High Frequency Mode' to increase the clock speed up to 3.85 GHz, improving processing performance. The audio processor (ACV) has also been upgraded to provide better sound quality. Internal storage has been increased from 825GB to 1TB, allowing users to store more games and data.
The PlayStation 5 Pro will also support up to 8K resolution, full HDR, and accelerated machine learning. These features will help elevate the gaming experience, especially when combined with 8K TVs and compatible gaming devices.
In terms of design, the PlayStation 5 Pro is said to be slightly larger than the standard PS5. The device will also have an optional removable Blu-ray drive, providing flexibility for users.
The PS5 Pro is expected to launch in Fall 2024, with an MSRP yet to be revealed. However, with its powerful performance and feature improvements, the PS5 Pro promises to be an attractive option for gamers looking for a top-notch gaming experience.
