On the morning of April 1, Colonel Nguyen Minh Khuong, Deputy Director of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security, said that the rescue team of the Ministry of Public Security had presented medicine and supplies to overcome the consequences of the earthquake to Mr. Sa Weli Frag, Director of the Department of Disaster Management (Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement of Myanmar), with the desire to provide medical support to the neighboring country to overcome the difficult period.
These medicines and equipment include: Antibiotics, digestive and flu medicines... basic health care medical equipment such as blood pressure monitors, blood glucose meters, SpO2 pairs, stretchers, bandages, gauze, antiseptics...
Also in the morning of the same day, the rescue team of the Ministry of Public Security deployed to search for victims at the 1,000-bed hospital, building number 5, Zabuthiri town (Myanmar).
Here, after gathering information from the base and search vehicles, the rescue team isolated the area and made a rescue plan for the victims. Initially, the rescue team determined that there were victims trapped in this building, the first floor area of more than 200 square meters collapsed at a very complicated angle and was at risk of further collapse.
The victim was Kaung khant Kyaus (14 years old) who was on the first floor when the earthquake occurred. During the demolition and actual inspection, the rescue team of the Ministry of Public Security continued to find a second victim. According to information from the rescue team, through search radar, there were signals showing that the victim was still alive.
By 11:45 (local time), rescuers had brought the victim's body out, but no miracle had occurred. Rescuers continued to approach the scene to bring the second victim out of the rubble.
Previously, on March 31, the Ministry of Public Security's rescue team removed the body of a 10-year-old boy from the rubble to hand over to local authorities.
