A representative of the Quynh Luu Irrigation Enterprise said: The entire district has more than 20 locations where waste is regularly stagnant. Every day, the unit has to arrange dozens of workers to stand guard at the sluice gates and canals to collect waste from the source to clear the flow. It is estimated that every 3 days, 8-10 tons of all kinds of waste are collected. (In the photo: Waste overflows on the canals in Quynh Luu district, causing serious water pollution). Therefore, pollution caused by waste also affects the quality of the input water, threatening people's health. People in the upstream area need to raise awareness of household waste treatment and local authorities need to take measures. handling the acts of littering in the irrigation canal system.
