Launching environmental protection model in Ham Tan

Ms. Tran Thi Dinh Huong - President of the District Women's Union presented the decision to establish the model.

The model was established with 10 members whose task is to propagate and promote the emulation movement "Skillful mass mobilization" among cadres, members, women and people; raise awareness of environmental hygiene in households and public places. At the same time, mobilize members, women and each household to ensure waste classification according to regulations, thereby changing thinking, working methods, and changing behaviors to contribute to environmental protection.

At the launching ceremony, the District Women's Union distributed leaflets on the implementation of the "5 no 3 clean" campaign and presented 30 trash bins to model members and women's union members. It also disseminated some regulations on solid waste classification and instructed members on waste classification and methods for treating organic waste from households to make fertilizer and compost.

The nursery has been deployed by the Association in Tan Duc commune, providing many varieties of flowers and ornamental plants.

It is known that, implementing the Campaign "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean" in the period of 2021 - 2024, the Women's Union of Ham Tan district has established 119 "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean" clubs, with over 4,000 members at the Union's bases; 6 models of "Women's groups to propagate and classify waste at source" and 1 model of "Religious women join hands to protect the environment, live a good life and be good at religion". In addition, the Union also built a model of "The Union's Nursery" with an area of ​​40 ^m2 , to grow varieties of portulaca, succulents, pothos, sedum... to support the creation of a green - clean - beautiful landscape and, together with the locality, complete the criteria for building new rural areas.
