The provincial planning has been approved by the Prime Minister and the province is in the process of implementation. In particular, the project of the expressway across the Central Highlands and connecting to the Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) - Ho Chi Minh City expressway has been approved by the Prime Minister. The project is expected to start construction in September 2025 and be completed in 2027, expected to create new momentum for Dak Nong to develop.
Mr. Dau Anh Tuan, Deputy Secretary General, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Legal Department of VCCI, Director of the PCI project, said that besides investing in building hard infrastructure, Dak Nong also needs to pay attention to creating soft infrastructure for itself.
That means the province must build strong trust through mechanisms and policies to support the development of the business community.
“Within its limited resources and reality, Dak Nong needs to focus on improving the PCI index within its capacity,” Mr. Tuan emphasized.
According to Mr. Tuan, Dak Nong needs to focus on improving training quality both in the short and long term in the direction of vocational training linked to business needs.
The province needs to improve its ability to provide and publicize information so that the entire business community can grasp policies and guidelines early. The digital transformation process must be more substantial, aiming to facilitate and satisfy people and businesses.
Accompanying investors
According to Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi, Dak Nong is a young province. The locality is facing many difficulties in human resources, material resources, and infrastructure. These obstacles can only be compensated by the relentless efforts in improving the investment environment and supporting businesses.
Recognizing this, Dak Nong has issued Program No. 23/Ctr/TU to implement the Resolution of the 12th Provincial Party Congress on improving the investment and business environment. The focus is on improving PCI in the 2021-2025 period, with 3 breakthroughs.
The province will focus on reforming administrative procedures in attracting investment in a way that is favorable to investors. Dak Nong will build a list of key investment projects and preferential policies of the province to attract domestic and foreign investment.
Dak Nong focuses on building infrastructure, focusing on transport infrastructure, prioritizing investment in construction and expansion of key transport infrastructure.
The province is focusing on implementing the Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh expressway project. This is an urgent traffic project of special importance to Dak Nong province. The locality is speeding up the implementation of the provincial planning to synchronously develop socio-economic sectors.
At the meeting with business people, taking place on October 9, 2024, Chairman of Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Muoi emphasized that, along with the province's efforts, Dak Nong hopes that in the coming time, the business community, businessmen, and investors will continue to be open, share, and accompany the locality in the development process.
On the side of the Business Association, the Young Business Association continues to have new ways to attract more business members. The Association encourages and motivates businessmen and businesses to promote their internal strength to rise up and affirm their position.

Business expectations
Expecting to improve the investment environment in Dak Nong, Mr. Le Manh Tuong, Director of Tuong Vu Private Enterprise, Dak R'lap District, hopes that the government and businesses must truly be companions.
In handling work, cadres and civil servants always put themselves in the position of the people and businesses. In return, the people and businesses also put themselves in the position of cadres and civil servants to handle work with emotion, reason, civility and politeness.
According to Mr. Dau Anh Tuan, Deputy Secretary General, Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Legal Department of VCCI, Director of the PCI project, most importantly, Dak Nong needs to overcome the situation of "the superiors do not listen to the subordinates" in departments, branches and localities.
"How can the province's major policies and guidelines be implemented quickly and effectively, ensuring the enhancement of the effectiveness of the local administrative apparatus?" Mr. Tuan emphasized.
Director of the Department of Planning and Investment Tran Dinh Ninh said that to improve the efficiency of the investment environment, the People's Committee of Dak Nong province has increased responsibility, initiative, and coordination among units in solving problems for people and businesses.
Localities are promoting the application of digital technology to handle administrative procedures. The province continues to implement solutions to reform, review, and shorten the time for carrying out administrative procedures, creating the most favorable conditions for businesses.
Regarding investor support, Dak Nong is resolutely directing departments, branches and localities to regularly monitor and inspect the implementation of investment projects in the province.
Units promote responsibility in proactively implementing monitoring, inspection and supervision work according to regulations of specialized laws.
The province is developing and perfecting investment incentive and preferential policies to adjust, supplement or replace policies that are no longer suitable. On this basis, Dak Nong actively supports and encourages investors to be interested in and implement projects in the province.
