Carrying out the socio-economic development tasks in the first 5 months of 2024 in the context of the global and domestic economic situation continuing to face difficulties and challenges that have directly affected the socio-economic development of the province in the past time. Despite such difficulties, with the high concentration of the entire political system from the province to the grassroots level, many synchronous solutions have been implemented to remove difficulties for production and business, focusing on directing, inspecting, urging to accelerate site clearance and construction of projects, especially key projects. With the determination of the entire political system, the consensus of the people and businesses, quite positive results have been achieved in the first 5 months of 2024. Accordingly, many socio-economic development indicators in the first 5 months of the year achieved impressive results. Proof of this is that the budget revenue in the first 5 months of the year is estimated at VND 4,587.6 billion, reaching 45.9%, of which domestic revenue is VND 4,115.4 billion, reaching 45.7% of the year's estimate. In particular, at the end of the first quarter of 2024, the province's estimated budget revenue reached nearly 30% of the year's estimate and increased by 10% over the same period in 2023. In the first months of 2024, the estimated revenue from accommodation services in the whole province increased by 4.2% over the same period and food services increased by 2.7% over the same period.

To achieve that result, the Provincial Party Committee has led and directed the authorities at all levels, sectors, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, the business community and the people in the province to unite and make efforts to carry out the tasks of socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security, achieving many positive results. Along with that are advantages such as the infrastructure in the province has been gradually improved, especially the North-South expressway section Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet, Phan Thiet - Dau Giay has been put into operation, creating a positive effect, contributing to attracting domestic and foreign investors and tourists to Binh Thuan, creating a driving force for socio-economic development for the province. At the same time, with the land use planning for the period 2021 - 2030, vision to 2050 and the land use plans of districts, towns and cities have been approved, creating a basis for competent authorities to approve investment policies for projects. Along with that, with the attention of Party and State leaders and leaders of central ministries and branches visiting and working with the province, directing and orienting local development in the coming time, thereby helping to remove difficulties and obstacles of the province. The province also identified 2024 as an acceleration year, of special significance in successfully implementing the 5-year socio-economic development plan 2021 - 2025. Therefore, from the beginning of 2024, the Provincial People's Committee has focused on implementing tasks and solutions, aiming to remove difficulties for businesses, promote production and business activities, attract investment to recover and develop, creating momentum for economic growth in 2024.

In 2024, the province has set 17 main targets, notably the total provincial domestic product GRDP increasing by 8 - 8.5%, the growth rate of social labor productivity by 6.4%, the state budget revenue of 10,000 billion VND... To achieve this goal, in the remaining months of 2024, the province will synchronously deploy solutions, implement with focus, key points and efficiency. In particular, promoting administrative reform, improving the investment and business environment to ensure efficiency and substance, promoting digital transformation activities, developing digital government, digital economy and digital society in 2024.
