Quang Ninh has 15 agencies and businesses honored as customers using electricity economically and efficiently.

Nearly 200 large customers representing over 450,000 electricity customers across the province.

Representatives of the Northern Power Corporation provided information on the electricity supply plan for 2025 and the following years.

According to data from the Northern Power Corporation, in recent years, peak electricity consumption in the summer can increase by 10-15% compared to the annual average. In 2024 alone, the peak capacity of the Northern power system at times exceeded 24,500 MW, a record number to date. This is also a year full of difficulties and challenges for Quang Ninh Power Company.

Following the direction of Vietnam Electricity Group, Northern Power Corporation and with the attention and support of the Provincial People's Committee, Quang Ninh Power Company has strived to complete the assigned plan targets, meeting the need for safe and stable electricity supply for socio-economic development and people's lives in the province.

Highlights include: Commercial electricity reaching over 6.5 billion kWh (up 3.7% compared to the plan and up 11% compared to 2023); loss rate is 2.94% (down 0.04% compared to 2023); developing over 10,000 new customers (up over 1,300 customers compared to 2023); replacing 43,000 electronic meters; signing load adjustment agreements with 190 customers, total capacity reduction reaching over 66MW...

Representatives of the Northern Power Corporation and the Northern Power Company awarded Certificates of Merit to 12 units and enterprises in the province that were honored as exemplary in the work of using electricity economically and effectively.

Implementing the tasks in 2025, Quang Ninh Electricity Company will focus on key tasks such as: Mobilizing all resources to the maximum, speeding up the progress of putting investment and construction projects, anti-overload projects into operation; consolidating the 110 kV power grid, medium and low voltage power grid; fully preparing spare equipment and supplies, operating plans, arranging human resources ready for management and operation in 2025... especially in the hot season to ensure safe, continuous and stable power supply to serve socio-economic development and people's daily life in the province.

At the conference, representatives of the Northern Power Corporation and Quang Ninh Power Company also provided more information on the electricity supply plan for 2025 and the following years; introduced electricity services and encouraged customers to actively develop self-produced and self-consumed rooftop solar power; introduced customer support programs when participating in energy saving projects.

In particular, within the framework of the conference program, a number of major customers in the province shared many valuable experiences drawn from the process of implementing electricity saving work, load adjustment programs, and load shifting to contribute to ensuring safe, continuous and stable electricity supply.

To acknowledge the support and cooperation with the Electricity industry to ensure stable electricity supply in 2024, on this occasion, the Northern Power Corporation organized a ceremony to honor typical enterprises and administrative agencies using the state budget in the work of using electricity economically and effectively. In Quang Ninh, 15 agencies and enterprises were honored.
