Việt NamViệt Nam22/06/2024

The fair aims to enhance trade promotion activities to support the promotion, introduction and search for outlets for typical agricultural specialties of localities with the theme "Week of promoting high-quality agricultural products and fruits". This is also an opportunity to connect supply and demand according to the value chain and seasonal regions between cooperatives, production and business units of localities with distributors, supermarkets, food stores, modern retail systems in Hanoi and throughout the country. The process ensures the agricultural value chain with a complete, closed, transparent ecosystem from production, processing, preservation, trade and distribution to consumers.

The fair is also an opportunity to support localities, enterprises, and production cooperatives to develop business on e-commerce platforms, expand markets, and focus more on the domestic market to encourage Vietnamese people to prioritize using Vietnamese agricultural products and create opportunities for Vietnamese agricultural products to conquer Vietnamese consumers.

With the participation of nearly 50 units and businesses with over 70 booths, the Market introduces famous agricultural products and specialties associated with places such as: Thai Nguyen tea, Ly Son onions and garlic; Muong Khuong chili sauce, Seng Cu Lao Cai rice; Cao Bang black jelly; coffee, Dak Nong macadamia, Soc Trang ST25 rice; Vinh Phuc edible mushrooms, Dat Mui bird's nest, Nam Can crab, Thanh Hoa sour sausage, dried vegetables, fruits, seafood products and many high-quality products with brands and reputations on the market are also displayed, introduced and sold at the Market.

In particular, coming to the market, visitors will be able to shop and experience high-quality seasonal tropical fruits in each region such as: Black Summer Grapes; Dak Nong durian, avocado, custard apple; Moc Chau plum; Tuyen Quang melon; Tam Hoa plum, Bac Ha Australian mango, Ban Lau - Lao Cai pineapple, Vinh Phuc red-fleshed dragon fruit.

At the fair, the Organizing Committee supported units and businesses to connect and consume products. The highlight of the fair was the livestream activity selling agricultural specialties via TikTok on the OCOP Fair channel and social networking platforms, aiming to diversify trade promotion forms, open up new markets, increase opportunities to reach customers and bring outstanding economic efficiency to localities.

According to Mr. Nguyen Minh Tien, Director of the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center, e-commerce is one of the pillars contributing to the growth of the digital economy in Vietnam today. For the agricultural sector, in order to realize the goals of the "One Commune One Product" (OCOP) Program for the period 2021-2025, promoting brand building, promoting and supporting the consumption of OCOP products on digital media is one of the key solutions of the program.

The 2024 Regional Specialty and Agricultural Products Market is not only a place for direct shopping but also combined with livestreaming via social networks, it is also an interactive experience and immersion in local culture. Combining with livestreaming via social networks opens up new opportunities for producers and sellers to reach a diverse customer base, including those who cannot participate in the market directly.

Through livestreaming, they can directly introduce products, share important information about their origin, production process, and answer customers' questions. From information about the production process to outstanding features and cultural messages, each product is conveyed through profound stories, creating a unique, intimate, trustworthy shopping experience and creating a deeper connection between sellers and buyers. At the same time, expanding the market through social networks also helps increase access to local products, contributing to the economic and cultural development of rural areas.

Within the framework of the fair, there are also activities to introduce and experience traditional dishes, regional cuisine; and demonstrations of agricultural and food processing processes.

The 2024 Regional Specialty and Agricultural Products Market is a promising event that brings many benefits to visitors. This is not just a regular trading event, but also an important forum for cultural exchange and promoting local economic development.
