The champion of Da Nang International Fireworks Festival is Finland

On the evening of July 13, the final night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF 2024) with the theme "Made by Young Generation - Future Beat" ended with the victory belonging to the team Joho Pyro Professional Fireworks AB - Finland.

Taking place over nearly two summer months, DIFF 2024 becomes the focal point attracting tens of thousands of tourists to the city on the Han River every competition night.

The Chinese representative opened the DIFF 2024 final night with a surprise performance that was many times better than what the team showed in the qualifying round. Called "Dazzling Da Nang", China's performance inspired the beauty and love for Da Nang, with groundbreaking music that combined the rich Chinese sound with the vibrant Western vibe.

Brilliant fireworks display from China

In contrast to the traditional Chinese style, the Finnish team made the Da Nang summer night much "hotter" with a modern and vibrant performance based on famous European and American songs and soundtracks. Using about 10,000 fireworks, the Finnish team captivated the audience with their fireworks shooting techniques both in the sky and underwater, bringing extremely novel effects.

After a very difficult decision, the Organizing Committee announced that Joho Pyro Professional Fireworks AB – Finland has officially won the DIFF 2024 Champion title, with a prize of 20,000 USD. The Chinese fireworks team won second place with a prize of 10,000 USD.

Also in the final night, the Organizing Committee announced the "Creativity" award for the French team with an impressive performance in the qualifying round. Receiving great affection from the audience, the Italian team received the "Audience Favorite" award with the performance "The Radiant Universe: Symphony of Light". Both awards are worth 5,000 USD.

455 flights to Da Nang this weekend

According to the Department of Tourism of Da Nang City, in 3 days (July 11 to 13), the city recorded 455 flights to Da Nang.

Right before the final night (July 12), there were 162 flights landing in the Han River city, an increase of more than 40% compared to weekdays. On the final night of DIFF 2024 (July 13), accommodation facilities in the city served an estimated 90,017 guests, including about 30,970 international guests. The city's room capacity was almost at maximum, with an occupancy rate of up to 95%. The capacity of cruise ships reached 100%, an absolute rate.

Mr. Le Trung Chinh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City - affirmed that the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival has become an event with its own brand, attractive to the city. "In addition, the city also always renews itself with new and attractive cultural and tourism products so that every visitor coming here will feel the festival atmosphere, the event always filled in this beautiful and dynamic coastal city" - Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City said.
