Parents entered the school to beat the female teacher and cursed the principal.

On the evening of December 22, sources reported that a teacher slapped a female student in the face; then a parent entered the school to assault and insult the teacher at My An Secondary School (Thap Muoi District, Dong Thap).

Accordingly, on the afternoon of December 19, Ms. Doan Thi Diem Thuy, a Natural Science teacher at My An Secondary School, had class 6/2 review their lessons and then recite them. When it was time for period 5, Ms. Thuy called on the female student TTBT to recite the lesson, but she did not know it.

At this time, Ms. Thuy slapped T. on the cheek, the reason being that "she asked T. to review her lessons but he didn't listen and often didn't know his lessons and didn't pay attention in class."

After being slapped by the female student, T. went home and told her sister about the incident. Later, the incident reached T.'s parents. T.'s parents contacted Mr. Nguyen Trong Ngu, the school principal, to ask for Ms. Thuy's phone number.

However, Mr. Ngu did not allow it because "the teacher's personal information was not provided" and asked T.'s parents to come to school at 8:00 the next day to resolve the matter.

At around 8:00 a.m. on December 20, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Bao and Mrs. Nguyen Thi Manh (father and grandmother of T.) entered the school and were invited into Ms. Thuy’s room to talk. However, Ms. Manh was said to have rushed in, grabbed Ms. Thuy’s hair, and repeatedly punched her dozens of times in the face.

At that moment, Mr. Le Van Thanh Ung, a teacher at the school who was teaching Physical Education, tried to intervene but was stopped by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Bao.

At this time, the school canteen vendor passed by and also intervened. After that, the principal discovered and ran down from upstairs to intervene and invited the parents into the room to resolve the matter, but was grabbed by the collar, dragged, pointed at, and cursed by Ms. Manh.

This woman also raised her hand to hit the principal but was stopped by the teacher. T.'s parents were said to have cursed the principal and the teacher badly...

About 15 minutes later, My An Commune Police arrived at the scene and invited Ms. Thuy and 2 parents to the headquarters for questioning.

The incident caused chaos in the schoolyard, Ms. Thuy had a bleeding mouth and a headache.

The Department of Education and Training of Thap Muoi district has directed the principal of My An Secondary School to seriously handle the substandard behavior of teacher Doan Thi Diem Thuy and hold a meeting of the school's pedagogical council to learn from the experience of the whole school.

At the same time, coordinate with My An Commune Police to provide information to handle the case according to the law.
