Previously, in January 2025, the Ho Chi Minh City Red Cross Society donated 1.5 billion VND to Phu Binh district, through the connection of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Red Cross Society. From this source of funding, the district donated to 150 poor and near-poor households in the area; each household received 10 million VND to buy sows.

To date, 100% of households benefiting from the program have purchased sows, each cow costing between 14 and 16 million VND. At the handover ceremony for the cow purchase funds, the District Fatherland Front Committee requested households to sign a commitment to use the support for the right purpose, care for and raise the cows to grow well; and not to sell or transfer the animals to others for at least 2 years.
