(NLDO) – Coast Guard Region 2 presented 80 “Island Tet” gifts to policy beneficiaries and disadvantaged households in Lien Chieu District, Da Nang City.
On the morning of January 22, the Command of Coast Guard Region 2 and the Mass Mobilization Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee held a summary of the Program of coordination in implementing the mass mobilization work "Coast Guard accompanies fishermen" in 2024 and deployed key tasks in 2025.

The report on coordination results at the conference said that in 2024, the Command of Coast Guard Region 2 and the Da Nang City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee coordinated to organize 6 conferences to propagate and disseminate legal education for more than 500 cadres working in mass mobilization at the grassroots level, fishermen, ethnic minorities, and religious people.
Organizing the contest "I love my homeland's sea and islands" with the participation of 60 outstanding students representing more than 6,500 students from 4 schools in Ngu Hanh Son district.
On this occasion, the Coast Guard Region 2 Command also presented 20 bicycles and 80 scholarships to disadvantaged students who have excelled in their studies in Ngu Hanh Son District. 250 gifts and necessities were presented to 80 families with preferential policies, fishermen, ethnic minorities, and religious people in difficult circumstances.

The total budget for social security activities that the Command of Coast Guard Region 2 and the Da Nang City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee jointly implemented in the program "Coast Guard accompanies fishermen", "Coast Guard with ethnic and religious people" in 2024 in Da Nang city is more than 630 million VND.
In 2025, the two units also highly agreed to continue promoting propaganda, dissemination and legal education for the people; the contest "I love my homeland's sea and islands" for students of secondary schools; effectively implementing social security activities associated with the mass mobilization program "Coast Guard accompanies fishermen", "Coast Guard with ethnic and religious compatriots" in Da Nang city.
On this occasion, the Command of Coast Guard Region 2 organized the program "Island Tet", presenting 80 gifts (each worth 1 million VND) to policy households, meritorious people, and families in difficult circumstances in Lien Chieu district.
