Mr. Ro Cham Djuk, head of Cham Aneh village, Chi Lang ward, Pleiku city (Gia Lai) is at the forefront of the grassroots economic development movement.
Born in 1982, a Jrai ethnic, Mr. Djuk is always aware of his responsibility for the development of the community. His greatest desire is to help the villagers have a better life. Therefore, he has spent a lot of time attending classes and economic development programs, proactively applying them to the management and production practices in the village.
Cham Aneh village has 31 hectares of rice, 160 hectares of coffee and more than 500 cattle. Thanks to the application of scientific and technological advances and investment in mechanization in production, people's lives have been increasingly improved. The average income per capita of the village has reached over 40 million VND per year. Mr. Djuk has actively encouraged people to change production methods, convert crop structures, implement garden renovation models, intercrop durian in coffee gardens, apply water-saving irrigation models and raise breeding sows.

The story of Mr. Byin's family (a household in the village) is a clear demonstration of the effectiveness of innovations in production. Previously, his family only had a small coffee garden with unstable income. Thanks to the dedicated guidance of village chief Ro Cham Djuk on how to care for plants, prune branches, fertilize and water properly, his family's coffee garden has grown well, bringing in an income of more than 100 million VND in 2024. Mr. Byin said that thanks to the direct and dedicated support of the village chief, people have changed their ways of doing things and their production thinking has also improved significantly.
In addition to economic development, Mr. Ro Cham Djuk also actively participated in patriotic emulation movements, mobilizing people to participate in building new rural areas. He actively propagated and mobilized people to renovate their houses, build infrastructure, upgrade the transportation system, environmental sanitation, and public works. Thanks to the coordination between the government and the people, many works such as cultural houses, sports fields, and rural roads have been solidly built, creating favorable conditions for socio-economic development. The rural traffic system of Cham Aneh village is over 70% asphalted and concreted, the rate of stable employment is 96%.

Mr. Djuk also participated in mobilizing people to contribute land, labor days and funds to solidify intra-field canals and build other infrastructure works. Thereby, contributing to improving the quality of life for the people.
Ms. Tran Thi Ut, Vice Chairman of Chi Lang Ward People's Committee, highly appreciated Mr. Ro Cham Djuk's efforts in implementing campaigns and guiding ethnic minorities to change their thinking and production methods, helping them to escape poverty sustainably, contributing to creating a new look for Cham Aneh village in terms of economy, culture and society.
With great contributions to the local socio-economic development, Mr. Ro Cham Djuk has just been proposed by the People's Committee of Chi Lang Ward to the People's Committee of Pleiku City to be awarded a Certificate of Merit for outstanding achievements in socio-economic development, ensuring national defense - security and social order and safety in the period 2019 - 2024.
