(NLDO) - For the first time, the mountainous district of Vinh Thanh, Binh Dinh province, organized a peach blossom festival to attract tourists.
On February 8, at K3 village, Vinh Son commune, Vinh Thanh district People's Committee organized the 2025 Peach Blossom Festival with the theme "Spring peach blossoms connect culture".
Japanese cherry blossoms bloom in Vinh Son
This is the first time Vinh Thanh district has organized a peach blossom festival to awaken the potential and develop tourism associated with the cultural identity of the Ba Na people, as well as promising to bring many memorable experiences to visitors from near and far.
Vinh Son Commune is located at an altitude of about 800 m above sea level, and has long been known as "Da Lat of Binh Dinh" thanks to its temperate climate and many beautiful landscapes. Since 2016, local people have begun to pilot temperate flowers such as cherry blossoms, wild sunflowers, hydrangeas, etc., creating beautiful landscapes.
In particular, in 2019, through the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Association in Sakai City (Japan), Binh Dinh Province imported 200 cherry trees for pilot planting in Vinh Son. After a successful trial, by the end of 2020, the People's Committee of Binh Dinh Province approved the Japanese cherry blossom planting project.
The Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association pledged to support Binh Dinh with about 10,000 Japanese cherry blossom trees to be cloned at Vinh Son eco-zone, turning this place into the "capital" of cherry blossoms.
Mr. Huynh Duc Bao, Vice Chairman of Vinh Thanh District People's Committee, said that this is the first time the district has organized a peach blossom festival with the hope of bringing interesting experiences to the people and tourists, enjoying special art programs. This is also an opportunity to connect, exchange, share and promote local traditional cultural values.

The 2025 Peach Blossom Festival takes place on February 8 and 9. Visitors will experience and check-in peach blossom roads and gardens in full bloom; cultural exchange activities, performances of the Bana K'riêm people's new rice festival, folk games; explore local landscapes...
