The meeting was held on the morning of October 27. Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoang Tuan chaired the meeting at the Quang Ngai bridge.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, at 10:00 a.m. on October 27, the eye of the storm was located at approximately 16.3 degrees north latitude; 108.2 degrees east longitude, on the coastal areas of Thua Thien Hue and Da Nang. From October 27-28, in the area from Quang Binh to Quang Nam, there will be heavy to very heavy rain, with total rainfall ranging from 200-400mm, locally over 600mm.

To proactively respond to the storm, Quang Ngai provincial leaders have organized inspections of storm prevention and control work in localities. In Ly Son district, 30 hectares of purple onions have been harvested early; food, provisions, and necessary necessities have been fully prepared.

Since the afternoon of October 26, Quang Ngai has completed the work of calling, notifying and arranging for ships and boats to anchor at the anchorage area. It has organized the evacuation of 163 households, with 539 people in Ly Son, Son Ha and Tra Bong districts.

Quang Ngai has developed a scenario for evacuating people to cope with storms, heavy rains and landslides. The whole province has 67 locations at high risk of landslides, mainly in Son Ha, Ba To and Tra Bong districts. The total number of households that need to be relocated and evacuated is more than 1,000, with more than 4,000 people, concentrated in Son Ha, Ba To and Tra Bong districts.

Concluding the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong emphasized that storm No. 6 is a storm with complex developments, long-term effects on sea and land, and causing heavy rain in the Central region.

Therefore, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting continues to monitor and accurately update rainfall, especially in vulnerable areas at risk of flash floods, landslides, so that localities can proactively support and evacuate people from dangerous areas.

Flaycam should be used to survey landslide-prone areas near densely populated areas to promptly detect cracks and fractures. There should be a reasonable inter-reservoir regulation plan; strengthen the management of ships and boats; and resolutely not allow ships and boats to set sail until the weather is stable.
