This event not only promotes the development of the industry, but also honors the traditional values, history, and unique cultural identity of the heroic land of Vinh Long, determined to transform itself.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that hundreds of years ago, the red brick and ceramic industry was formed and developed in Vinh Long, where the Tien and Hau rivers meet with rare ancient clay mines. From hundreds of millions of cubic meters of alluvium deposited over the ups and downs of time, red brick and ceramic have survived and developed, with products spreading throughout the country and internationally.
The Deputy Prime Minister assessed that this event is not only a cultural event, but also an opportunity for Vinh Long to introduce the image of a green, sustainable economy, an attractive destination for domestic and international tourists. Hopefully, in the coming time, the red brick and ceramic industry will develop to a new height, the products will be diverse, rich, sophisticated, beautiful designs, better quality will reach out to the world.
Accordingly, the red brick kilns will become brilliant castles, sparkling under the sunlight. This place not only creates rare and valuable products, but is also an attractive destination for tourists when coming to the Mekong Delta.
Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc believes that Vinh Long province will continue to uphold the spirit of solidarity, the desire to rise up, maximize its potential and unique values, and be determined to build Vinh Long into an increasingly rich and beautiful province, a typical model of harmoniously combining heritage restoration and conservation with green economic growth and sustainable development.
