Deputy Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union: Hope Thanh An island commune will soon have a modern rescue ship

On the morning of July 7, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union and Tuoi Tre newspaper organized a fundraising event for the "Waterway Ambulance for Can Gio" program to help patients and fishermen on Thanh An island commune (Can Gio district) and neighboring areas have safe emergency vehicles when in need of emergency care.

Attending the ceremony were Ms. Tran Thu Ha - Deputy Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union - along with representatives of the Department of Health, Tuoi Tre newspaper and many volunteers.

Speaking at the call for donations for the "Water Rescue Boat for Can Gio" program, Ms. Tran Thu Ha said the program is a special volunteer project.

"Through donations from Ho Chi Minh City residents, we hope that Thanh An island commune will have a faster, more modern ambulance ship to promptly provide emergency care for serious and difficult cases," said Ms. Ha.

At the launching ceremony, with all their hearts, hundreds of volunteers, students and leaders of participating units raised their phones to scan the QR code on the online charity platform Heo Dat MoMo to support the program "Waterway rescue boat for Can Gio".

Sending "a little bit of heart" through the MoMo Piggy Bank fund, volunteer soldier Dao Nguyen Anh Thu (22 years old) confided that she and everyone really hope that the water rescue boat for Can Gio will be successfully implemented and soon put into operation.

"Because of that, health care for people in Thanh An island commune will be better and people will have the opportunity to have good health care like people in central areas of Ho Chi Minh City," Anh Thu confided.

Previously, on the morning of July 6, at Thanh An island commune (Can Gio district), Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union also coordinated with units to call for donations to support the program "Waterway rescue boat for Can Gio".

The first contributions in Thanh An island commune came from soldiers of Border Guard Squadron 2, the Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard Command, leaders of the City Youth Union and Ho Chi Minh City Electricity Corporation...

Everyone hopes that their "heart" will spread the program further, so that the dream of Can Gio people will soon become a reality.
