The economy of My Phu Dong commune has shifted towards sustainable agricultural growth, with a production model of 3 crops per year; growing vegetables, fruit trees, producing high-quality rice, etc., contributing to raising the average income per capita to more than 68 million VND/person/year. My Phu Dong commune was recognized by the Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee as a "Commune meeting new rural standards" in 2018, and "Commune meeting advanced new rural standards" in 2021.
