The Four Guardians directed by Tran Thanh grossed 43 billion VND on its first day of release.
According to Box Office Vietnam - an independent box office monitoring unit, as of January 29, the revenue of the movie The Four Guardians reached more than 43 billion VND, including the number of tickets booked for the coming days. On the first day of release alone, Tran Thanh's movie earned more than 31.5 billion VND, far surpassing the remaining competitors also released during this Tet holiday.
The achievements of The Four Panthers did not surprise audiences or experts when the work led the number of screenings in theaters and had a high occupancy rate. Currently, the latest project directed by Tran Thanh dominates the box office with more than 5,000 screenings per day, selling more than 312,000 tickets at theaters nationwide.
Previously, the fourth film project directed by Tran Thanh set a record even though it had not yet been officially released. The male director revealed that the work starring Tieu Vy and Ky Duyen had more than 129,000 pre-booked tickets, becoming the Vietnamese film with the highest number of pre-booked tickets of all time.

The other two Vietnamese films released during Tet had more modest revenue despite being released on January 29 (the first day of Tet): Nu hon bac billion earned 4 billion VND and Yeu tro ban than 1.5 billion VND. Foreign films also did not make a breakthrough in box office revenue. In particular, animated films including Paddington: The Bear's Journey earned more than 1.2 billion VND, followed by Mission of a Thousand Pounds with more than 1 billion VND and The Goat Knight and the Seven Royal Treasures with a revenue of nearly 335 million VND.
According to Box Office Vietnam, the first day's sales of The Four Guardians surpassed the entire sales of the movie Mai on the first day of Tet last year. Tran Thanh's latest work has set more box office records for Vietnamese cinema.

The Four Guardians brings together a cast of artists Le Giang, Tran Thanh, Le Duong Bao Lam, Uyen An, Ky Duyen, Tieu Vy, Quoc Anh... The film has a humorous tone, promising to bring lots of laughter to the audience during Tet. It can be seen that with this work, Tran Thanh is looking for a new direction, different from previous films with a dramatic tone on family and psychological themes.
