Currently, sectors and levels in the province are urgently implementing plans to attract and encourage subjects to participate in 3-star ranking. At the same time, perfecting and improving product quality, meeting the requirements for 4-star and 5-star standards. Upgrading OCOP 5-star crab meat and dried shrimp After more than 5 years of implementing the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program in Ca Mau province, it has had a wide spread to many small and medium-sized enterprises, cooperatives and cooperative groups in the province. Through the evaluation criteria, OCOP-recognized products further affirm their quality and position in the market, strengthening consumers' trust in the prestige of the products. 3-star, 4-star and 5-star OCOP products are accordingly evaluated by councils at all levels. The goal in 2024 is that Ca Mau will have 22 products of 13 entities registering to upgrade from 3 stars to 4 stars; 9 products of 6 entities upgrading from 4 stars to 5 stars.

Currently, in Nam Can district, there are 2 products certified with the Brand, including: Collective Brand "Cua Nam Can - Ca Mau" and Certified Brand "Banh tom cracker Hang Vinh - Ca Mau". Accordingly, "Cua Nam Can - Ca Mau" was granted a Certificate by the Department of Intellectual Property in 2015, and up to now, 9 members have participated in using it (including 3 companies, 3 cooperatives and 3 establishments). Currently, the district has also built a website to promote the collective brand "Cua Nam Can - Ca Mau" on the district's electronic information portal. In general, thanks to the Collective Brand and geographical indication, Nam Can crab products have achieved and maintained the quality of 3-star OCOP products; there is potential to develop 4-star OCOP products in the upcoming OCOP classification assessment.

Regarding the Certificate of Trademark of Hang Vinh Shrimp Crackers - Ca Mau, the Department of Intellectual Property granted a Certificate of Trademark Registration under Decision QD-SHTT dated March 6, 2023, assigning the People's Committee of Nam Can district as the owner. Currently, the district has granted the right to use to 3 users, namely Kien Cuong Production Co., Ltd., Vinh Hoa Phat Import-Export Company, and Phuc Nhan Production Facility (in Hang Vinh commune). In the coming time, upgrading the product to reach 5-star OCOP according to the Plan of the Provincial People's Committee (Vinh Hoa Phat Import-Export Joint Stock Company (Hang Vinh commune) is being supported by the provincial Departments and branches to upgrade the shrimp crackers product to reach 5-star OCOP in 2024). Mr. Mai Sau - Director of Vinh Hoa Phat Import-Export Joint Stock Company (Hang Vinh commune, Nam Can district) said:
"Participating in upgrading the product from 4 stars to 5 stars is an opportunity for the Company's products to complete the criteria for evaluating product quality. In addition to the certification requirements for quality standards of 4-star OCOP products, the products must meet the criteria for ISO and HACCP certification, and meet the conditions from the input material import stage to the product export process.
