Developing tourism into a spearhead economic sector

According to the Ninh Thuan Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, the province strives to develop Ninh Thuan tourism into a spearhead economic sector by 2030, in the direction of "Sustainability - High quality - Uniqueness", contributing 15% of the province's GRDP. Ninh Thuan tourism becomes a particularly attractive destination, with high competitiveness compared to the region and the whole country. Focusing investment resources to develop Ninh Chu National Tourist Area to become a destination for tourists.

In order for the tourism industry to accelerate and develop effectively according to Decision No. 1319/QD-TTg, the province is focusing on synchronously implementing focused and key solutions, turning potential, advantages and available space into strong development momentum; building and developing the Ninh Thuan tourism brand, planning key tourism areas and spots, and expanding customer segments according to specialized products, soon making tourism a spearhead economic sector. Accordingly, the province continues to promote the restructuring of the tourism industry towards professionalism, modernity, quality and sustainability. Focus on calling on economic sectors, encouraging businesses to develop and innovate diverse and unique types and services; associated with promoting the value of heritage and national cultural identity such as: beach resort tourism; cultural and historical tourism; ecological tourism; agricultural and rural tourism; golf tourism; Culinary tourism... has its own local characteristics and is highly competitive, attracting domestic and foreign tourists.

Accelerate the master plan for the construction of Ninh Chu National Tourist Area, located in the coastal space of the province, with the administrative boundaries of Phan Rang - Thap Cham City, Thuan Bac, Ninh Hai, Ninh Phuoc and Thuan Nam districts; focus on developing tourism economic activities exploiting marine economic values, diverse ecological landscape values, with high specificity, contributing to creating a unique marine environment, creating a separate brand through exploiting different highlights compared to other provinces... Proactively integrate the content of night-time economic development into the content of the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050. Among them, it is expected that the areas, localities, and routes will focus on developing the night-time economy, central and satellite areas, and main types of night-time economic services to have a basis for future implementation.

Allocate appropriate resources from the state budget in conjunction with resources from the private sector in the form of public-private partnerships to invest in urban infrastructure in Phan Rang - Thap Cham City towards becoming a tourism city; infrastructure of Ninh Chu National Tourism Area and tourism areas in the coastal strip from Binh Tien - Vinh Hy to Ca Na - Mui Dinh. Invest in specialized inland waterway ports in the areas of Binh Tien - Vinh Hy, Ninh Chu, Ca Na; tourism items of the Ca Na general port project; upgrade and improve infrastructure and service quality at Thap Cham station and the provincial bus station; ecological tourism infrastructure in Nui Chua and Phuoc Binh National Parks to promote tourism potentials, forming world-class destinations. At the same time, allocate resources to embellish, preserve and develop facilities in typical craft villages with high tourism exploitation value, in order to combine promoting cultural and historical values associated with traditional product brands to become important tourism highlights of the province. Renovate, upgrade and invest in and develop cultural institutions suitable for tourism development needs. Simultaneously develop community tourism areas, cultural tourism, heritage tourism, forest ecological tourism associated with provincial tourism areas, including the areas: Tan Giang Lake Tourism Area, Song Trau Lake, Song Sat Lake with unique and diverse tourism types, suitable for the natural landscape, climate and identity of each area.

Regarding tourism infrastructure, mobilize resources, attract investment in developing infrastructure and tourism infrastructure; strengthen upgrading, linking, expanding traffic connections with important tourism traffic hubs such as Cam Ranh airport; Cam Ranh port; Phan Thiet airport project (after completion), traffic connections to tourism areas and points. The province continues to develop the public transport system, invest in water supply and drainage works, parking lots, public toilets in key tourism areas, call for investment in the project to restore the Phan Rang - Da Lat cog railway, Thanh Son airport project combined with tourism development. Continue to improve the quality of training and fostering human resources, aiming at the goal of sufficient quantity, balancing the industry structure, ensuring quality, meeting market demand; at the same time, supporting tourism businesses to develop; speeding up digital transformation, promoting startups and innovation in the tourism sector.

Promote tourism promotion, coordinate the organization of inter-regional and inter-provincial cultural tourism events such as the South Central Coast tourism journey, the Phan Rang - Da Lat - Nha Trang - Phan Thiet tourism development quadrangle; cooperate in tourism of 9 central coastal provinces, 6 south central provinces with the Central Highlands, Southeast, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City in promoting and advertising products.
