Launching emulation movement to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses

On December 2, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lang Son province launched an emulation movement to implement the Program to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in the province.

The emulation movement has the theme: “Solidarity, creativity, determination to compete to successfully implement the goal of the Program to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses in Lang Son province”. The competition period ends on April 30, 2025.

The emulation movement was launched to concretize Resolution No. 188 dated October 25, 2024 of the Standing Committee of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee on implementing the Program to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for households with meritorious services to the revolution, policy families, poor households, near-poor households, and people affected by natural disasters and climate change in the province (Resolution No. 188). Accordingly, the whole province strives to complete the elimination of 100% of temporary and dilapidated houses for 2,472 households with meritorious services to the revolution, policy families, poor households, near-poor households, and people affected by natural disasters and climate change in the province before April 30, 2025.

In particular, striving to complete the construction of new houses for 951 households before January 19, 2025, in the form of "turnkey". The total estimated cost of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses is more than 222 billion VND and has currently received money and goods worth over 77 billion VND. In addition, the Ministry of Public Security supported 20.44 billion VND to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in Loc Binh district.

By November 29, the province had built 614/951 new works, reaching 64.56%; repaired 58/1,521 works. To achieve the goals set out in Resolution No. 188, the Lang Son Provincial Fatherland Front Committee launched an emulation movement to mobilize agencies, units, enterprises, collectives and individuals inside and outside the province to actively participate in supporting funds, supplies, materials, machinery and working days to implement the program...

Regarding the level of support, in terms of cash, cadres, civil servants, public employees, soldiers of the armed forces, and those receiving salaries from the State budget support with the spirit of each person contributing at least 1 day's salary; workers supporting at least 1 day's income; union members, association members, and households supporting at least 50,000 VND; each organization and enterprise in the province supporting at least 5 million VND.

For in-kind support (construction materials), labor days, depending on the capabilities and conditions of charitable units, organizations and individuals inside and outside the province, units located in the province are encouraged to support 1 house or more. Along with that, coordinate the construction of temporary and dilapidated houses to ensure safety, quality and efficiency...
