Launching the photo and video contest "Happy Vietnam"

This morning, March 20, the Ministry of Information and Communications in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists organized the launching ceremony of the photo and video contest “Happy Vietnam - Happy Vietnam 2024”. The launching ceremony was held in person and online in 63 provinces and cities nationwide.

The photo and video contest "Happy Vietnam 2024" is one of the key activities of the series of media events - exhibitions on human rights in Vietnam in 2024.

This is a popular competition, held annually, first initiated in 2023. The competition has achieved impressive successes, received and highly appreciated by the public at home and abroad.

In 2024, the contest will be held for the second time, launched nationwide to attract the participation of a large number of authors from all over the country. Authors, both professional and amateur, Vietnamese and foreign, domestic or foreign, can participate.

The contest aims to discover and honor meaningful moments and stories about all aspects of Vietnam's political, economic, cultural and social life through photos and videos by domestic and international authors, vividly affirming Vietnam's achievements in the field of human rights.

Mobilize the combined strength of all classes of people in the country, the Vietnamese community abroad and international friends in communication work, promoting the image of the country and Vietnamese people to the world to affirm to the world that Vietnam is a peaceful, beautiful country, dynamically developing and a happy country.

The contest consists of two categories: photos and videos. Entries must meet the following criteria: highly promote the image of Vietnam, its people, cultural and natural values throughout the country; arouse national pride and aspirations for development in all classes of people to join hands in building an increasingly prosperous, prosperous and happy Vietnam.

Reflecting truthfully and vividly the development achievements in all aspects of Vietnam, especially in the process of innovation, development and international integration. Conveying valuable knowledge, attracting strong public interest and having wide influence at home and abroad.

Entries must have been created from January 1, 2022 to the time of submission and must not have been submitted to or won any previous competitions or exhibitions.

The total prize value of the contest is up to more than 400 million VND. Each author or group of authors can submit a maximum of 10 entries.

Time to receive entries from March 20, 2024 - August 20, 2024. Authors submit entries directly on the website: https://happy.vietnam.vn.

After the contest, the Organizing Committee will select the best works to award prizes and about 100 works that make it to the final round will be selected to display in an exhibition to serve the communication work on human rights at home and abroad in the coming time.
