The results of a survey on consumer payment attitudes recently announced by the electronic payment technology company Visa show that the trend of switching to modern electronic payment methods is becoming increasingly popular in Vietnam.
Accordingly, 56% of Vietnamese users surveyed have reduced their use of cash compared to the previous year and have actively embraced new financial technologies. In particular, Gen X (those born between 1965 and 1980) and Gen Y (those born between 1981 and 1996) consumers are now playing a pioneering role in driving the growth of cashless payments, with 89% of survey participants reporting successful adoption of digital payment methods in their daily lives.
Vietnam is considered one of the countries leading the wave of cashless payment conversion in Southeast Asia. A report by the electronic payment technology company Visa shows that at least 4 out of 5 Vietnamese consumers regularly use e-wallets, most of whom are young people.
