Aiming for modern agriculture, wealthy farmers, and civilized countryside, Quang Ninh province has been encouraging and creating opportunities for rural people to transform, implement new economic models, and change production methods towards prioritizing the application of technology to increase the value and output of agricultural products.

This September, Duong Hoa Tea Shop appeared on the social networking platform TikTok. This is one of the ways that Viet Tu Investment, Construction and Trading Company Limited chose to promote Hai Ha tea trees. On this TikTok page, the story of organic tea trees of Hai Ha tea area along with the care, harvesting, processing process... are described in detail. Thanks to that, viewers can witness the entire tea production process of the enterprise. Currently, this company has a 15-hectare raw tea area with a completely organic production process, regularly inspected from soil samples, water samples, grown and harvested naturally, ensuring the strictest standards of Taiwan and Japan.

Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Huong, CEO of the company, shared: We want the world market to know about Duong Hoa tea, Hai Ha tea and Quang Ninh tea. In addition to the important factor of quality, we also actively exploit the strengths of media channels to bring the image of Duong Hoa tea trees far and wide.

Promoting Duong Hoa tea trees on social networks is a way for Viet Tu Construction Investment and Trading Company Limited to increase the value of agricultural products.

Together with businesses and tea growers, the local government recently organized the 2024 Duong Hoa Tea Festival to promote and introduce Duong Hoa tea products as well as the more than 60-year history of formation and development of the tea region to a large number of domestic and foreign tourists. Thereby, enhancing the value and brand of Duong Hoa Tea products, one of the unique and characteristic products of Hai Ha district.

By exploiting the strengths of local agricultural products to develop the economy, many farming households and production facility owners have earned billions of dong, becoming agricultural billionaires. A typical example is Mr. Dang Ba Manh, Cong Hoa commune (Cam Pha city). Deployed since the end of 2022, by the beginning of this year, more than 6 hectares of 3-phase shrimp farming of Mr. Manh's family have harvested the first shrimp crops. Mr. Manh said that with a closed farming process, along with a greenhouse system and automatic equipment to control the environment, humidity, and water source, this model has initially shown its effectiveness, estimated to yield about 350 tons/year, with an income of about 60-80 billion VND. In the near future, my family is also planning to expand the scale to 100 ponds and increase farming capacity to bring higher economic efficiency.

The people's initiative in applying science and technology and implementing new models is bringing positive changes to Quang Ninh's agriculture. In addition, in order to move towards a modern countryside, civilized and wealthy farmers, the province is also continuing to perfect the structure of crop production associated with competitive advantages and market requirements; maintaining and developing production areas of key crops. At the same time, replicating effective production models, applying new varieties, technical advances and mechanization in production contributes to improving productivity and quality, meeting market demands.

The province has also gradually restructured crops according to the advantages of each locality, creating conditions for the formation of concentrated agricultural production areas with large commodity output and diverse products. Promoting the potential and advantages of the locality, bringing high economic efficiency to people in rural areas.

Currently, the province has planned 17 concentrated agricultural production areas and applied high technology in production. Maintained over 1,000 hectares of crop areas certified to meet VietGAP standards; 94 hectares of high-quality rice; 420 facilities applied advanced quality management programs, 46 crop areas were assigned codes.

Up to now, the average income of rural people in the whole province has reached over 73 million VND/person/year. Quang Ninh has set a target that by the end of 2025, the average income of rural people will reach over 5,000 USD/year, the province's agricultural sector will increasingly develop in a modern, ecological, high-tech direction.
