New York Judge Juan Merchan, presiding over the hush money trial of adult film star Stormy Daniels, declared US President-elect Donald Trump 'unconditionally exonerated' on January 10.
According to Reuters, under New York state law, the move means that Mr. Trump is still guilty but will not be detained, fined or placed on probation.

With the above sentence, Mr. Trump became the first former US President to be criminally prosecuted and convicted.
