Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang leaves Forbes' list of USD billionaires

Forbes ' real-time asset update shows that Nguyen Dang Quang has dropped out of the billionaires list. At the beginning of last week, his assets were still at $1 billion. At the end of September, this figure was $1.1 billion.

This is not the first time Masan Chairman has dropped out of Forbes ' list of USD billionaires. At the end of 2019, Mr. Quang also dropped out of Forbes' list after first entering the list of the richest USD billionaires in 2018.

Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang's assets reached their highest level according to Forbes ' ranking of 1.9 billion USD in April 2022.

Billionaire Nguyen Dang Quang's assets decreased as MSN shares plummeted to a two-year low, from over VND140,000/share at the end of 2021 to the current VND58,500/share.

Statistics show that Mr. Nguyen Dang Quang currently holds 15 MSN shares of Masan. However, Mr. Quang indirectly holds a large amount of MSN shares through Masan JSC and Hoa Huong Duong, equivalent to nearly 45% of Masan shares. Mr. Quang also holds more than 9.4 million Techcombank (TCB) shares.

The assets of other Vietnamese billionaires also decreased according to Forbes ' estimates. Specifically, Mr. Pham Nhat Vuong owns 4.3 billion USD, down 101 million USD compared to last weekend. Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao owns 2.1 billion USD, down 23 million USD compared to last weekend. Billionaire Tran Dinh Long's assets decreased 8 million USD to 1.9 billion USD. Billionaire Tran Ba ​​Duong's assets also decreased slightly to 1.4 billion USD. Techcombank Chairman Ho Hung Anh owns 1.2 billion USD, down 18 million USD compared to last weekend.
