Clarifying information about a child falling and causing a brain hemorrhage at a kindergarten

On March 11, 2025, Mr. T.'s wife sent her child to school in good health and was picked up by the teachers. However, at noon that same day, around 2:00 p.m., teacher T. called Mr. T. and said she did not know why K. was getting weaker and asked the parents to come and pick her up.

"I thought that like usual, when my child had a poor appetite or a fever, the teachers would call the parents to pick him up. I rode my motorbike to school to pick him up. When I got to the school gate, Ms. T. was holding my child and waiting outside the school gate. I picked him up but saw that he was limp, no longer crying and not looking at me like usual, so I rode my motorbike straight to the Huong Son commune health station to ask what was wrong.

When they saw my child's condition, the nurses at the medical station took him straight to the emergency room to give him oxygen and asked me to call the school to ask if he had food poisoning. Ms. T. said that my child had eaten porridge at 10am and fell from the bed to the floor while sleeping. The nurses at the medical station immediately called a car to transfer my child to the upper level, My Duc General Hospital. There, the doctors concluded that my child had "subdural hematoma".

"After the X-ray, the child regained consciousness and opened his eyes, but had no reaction. The hospital continued to transfer the child to the Hanoi Children's Hospital for emergency care, with a doctor accompanying him. Upon arriving at the Hanoi Children's Hospital, the next day the doctors ordered another X-ray and had the same conclusion," said Mr. T.

Transfer papers from Hanoi Children's Hospital to National Children's Hospital provided by the family.

According to Mr. T, K. was transferred from Hanoi Children's Hospital to the National Children's Hospital for continued treatment and monitoring.

"Right after taking my child to the emergency room, on March 14, my brother went to the Huong Son commune police station to report the above incident and the police station sent someone to the preschool where I sent my child to investigate the cause and requested to extract the camera. Ms. T. - the school owner - reported that the camera was broken the day before.

My family is looking forward to the investigation agency's conclusion every day to clarify the cause of my child's current condition, but so far there is still no information," said Mr. T.

A representative of Baby Home Private Kindergarten said that the information parents reported above is not true.

However, when speaking with reporters, a representative of the Huong Khe Commune Police in My Duc District, Hanoi confirmed that the incident occurred at the Baby Home Private Kindergarten. The commune police have now transferred the case to the Hanoi City Police for verification, investigation, and clarification.

Mr. Le Van Hien, Head of the Department of Education and Training of My Duc district, said that the Department has received information about the incident. The unit is coordinating with the police to clarify the incident. Mr. Hien said that Baby Home Kindergarten is a private facility, licensed to operate.
