At the conference, Mr. Do Trong Hung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organization Committee announced the decision of the Politburo. Accordingly, the Politburo decided that Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee, ceased to participate in the Party Central Committee, Standing Committee, ceased to hold the position of Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term; transferred, assigned and appointed to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department.
At the same time, the decision was made to transfer Mr. Do Thanh Binh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee, Head of the 15th National Delegation of Kien Giang Province to cease participating in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and cease holding the position of Secretary of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term; to transfer, assign, and appoint him to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and hold the position of Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.
In his speech assigning tasks, the Head of the Central Organizing Committee emphasized that Mr. Do Thanh Binh is a capable, experienced cadre who is close to the grassroots; in all his positions, he has always completed his tasks well and excellently; and has contributed to the overall achievements of the agencies, units, and localities where he works. The Politburo believes that with his experience, Mr. Do Thanh Binh will excellently complete the assigned tasks.
The Head of the Central Organizing Committee requested the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, all levels and sectors of Can Tho City to continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, unity, sharing, support and assistance so that Mr. Do Thanh Binh, in his position as Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee, can focus on leading and directing the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the 14th Can Tho City Party Congress, term 2020-2025; most importantly, to unite and strive to bring Can Tho to further development in the coming time.
