My Thuy intersection, Thu Duc city, with a total investment of more than 3,400 billion VND, is still stuck with land clearance, so the project progress is being affected.

My Thuy Interchange is a key project of Ho Chi Minh City, with a total investment of more than 3,400 billion VND, located right at the connection point of the main roads Dong Van Cong, Nguyen Thi Dinh, Ring Road 2 (now Vo Chi Cong Street) towards Cat Lai port, in Cat Lai ward, Thu Duc city.

The project has been implemented since 2016, but up to now, many items have been delayed due to problems in site clearance.

According to Dan Viet reporters, the project site is still in disarray, causing many items to be "shelved" for a long time.

Mr. Vo Tri Dung, Head of the Land Clearance Board of Thu Duc City, said that 63% of the land has been reclaimed. The remaining land is currently stuck in the boundary of another project. It is expected that by April 30, Thu Duc City will reclaim all the land and hand it over to the investor to implement the project.

My Thuy Intersection has a complete design with a scale of 3 floors. The project is divided into 2 component projects, of which, component project 1 (construction and installation) has a total investment of 1,826 billion VND (phase 3 is 312 billion VND); component project 2 (compensation, site clearance, resettlement) 1,623 billion VND, implemented by the Thu Duc City Construction Investment Project Management Board.

In phases 1 and 2, the project has completed and put into use a number of items such as the left underpass, the 4-loop overpass on Ring Road 2, the left branch Ky Ha 3 bridge, and the My Thuy 3 bridge. From the end of 2023, other items such as the Cat Lai - Phu My left overpass and the Ky Ha 4 bridge will continue to be deployed.

On March 14, the Ho Chi Minh City Traffic Construction Investment Project Management Board (Traffic Board) started construction of phase 3 of the project. Accordingly, the Traffic Board will carry out the overpass on Ring Road 2 (right branch) and Ky Ha 3 Bridge (right branch) with 4 lanes.

The project is expected to be completed by April 30, 2026. The completion of My Thuy intersection combined with other projects such as the expansion of Nguyen Thi Dinh, Nguyen Duy Trinh, Luong Dinh Cua streets, Cat Lai - Phu Huu inter-port route, Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay expressway, An Phu intersection, Tang Long and Ong Nhieu bridges, etc. will reduce traffic congestion, improve transport capacity, beautify the urban area and create momentum for the development of Thu Duc City as well as local socio-economic development.
