Raising children makes you know...

Married and settled abroad 5 years ago, after having a baby, Ms. Ngoc Linh (33 years old, in Toronto, Canada) said: "Nowadays, you can learn everything on YouTube. From making milk, breastfeeding to changing diapers, bathing... everything is covered. At first, I was clumsy, but gradually I got used to the feeling of not having my mother around to guide me. Sometimes, after finishing everything, I realized I was crying because only then did I feel the hardship of a mother raising a child."

Although Tristan (Linh's husband) and friends are always willing to support her in everything, every time she holds her child in her arms, she is overwhelmed with emotions because she misses her parents so much.

"I have been studying and working away from home for more than ten years, so I always have to be independent and strong because I don't have family around. But since having a baby, I suddenly get emotional, especially when I think about my parents," Ngoc Linh confided.

With those thoughts are the feelings of Ms. Huyen Dieu (50 years old, Go Cong, Tien Giang) about raising children and loving parents.

Her two sons are generally well-behaved, but they cannot avoid the typical "rebellious" moments of adolescence. Sometimes they are too happy, forget to come home on time, and their parents call but they don't answer; other times they are depressed, locking themselves in their rooms all day without eating or drinking.

Not to mention the "disease" of being absent-minded just because of being addicted to games, which makes her have to remind her over and over again until she gets tired. Yet, there were several times when it was lunchtime and everything was put on the table, only to realize that although the rice cooker was plugged in, her child had not... turned it on.

"There were times when I was so angry that I wanted to fight back, but then I remembered that I had times like that myself, but thanks to my parents being so understanding and considerate, I gradually overcame it. And there were dozens of people in the family," Ms. Dieu confided.

Secretly love parents

When we were young, it seemed that due to our carefree nature, few people understood the hardships of their parents.

Childhood is all about studying - eating - playing, so being taken care of by parents is obviously normal. When we grow up a little and have our own family, we will understand what our parents have gone through. Raising a child has never been considered easy. Raising one child is difficult, raising many children increases the difficulty exponentially.

No matter where they are, no matter when, parents love their children unconditionally. Even if they are old, their eyesight is dim, their legs are in pain, the first people they think of are still the children they gave birth to.

And perhaps all of us want to be successful, have a high income to take care of our parents fully and completely. But it seems that we have forgotten one thing, that sometimes our parents do not need those things. They just need to see you healthy and safe; to have us by their side whenever they are sick; to have meals with us, and they will feel at ease.

Every day that passes means less time with our parents. It is time for us to spend more time and care before it is too late.
